Favre4Ever+ 4,476 Posted January 29, 2016 (edited) Love is in the air. I thought the last two episodes of both shows were pretty good. Except for Barry is still an idiot. No more Patty, lame. Wally is still cool. And.... now we have Hunter Zolomon.... kind of? Lol Arrow was awesome as well. Like the development of Andy as a character and integrating into the show. The focus on Felicity and her ordeal is nice as well, IMO. Limited Thea and Laurel are nice, as always. Good episode! Sparty 110 Posted January 29, 2016 Favorite Flash episodes Season 1: 1: Weather wizard was boss plus the intro of all the characters 4: Wentworth Miller is an awesome Captain Cold, so all other Rogues episodes are in here (for this season) 7: Blackout is a pretty cool villain 8: Crossover was cool 9: REVERSE FLASH 10: See #4 11: I like this version of the Pied Piper 13+14: the awesome Firestorm episodes 15: I know a lot of people hated this episode cause nothing technically happened, but the Wells-Cisco scene has to go down in one of the greatest moments of the season 16: see #4 17: MARK HAMILL 20: REVERSE FLASH 21: GROOOOOOOOOOOOOOODD 22: See #4 23: The epic finale ^ This all being said, season 2 has been pretty tame as of the episode I'm on now (5). Only one good so far has been the premiere. Also, Jefferson Jackson? He's good in this show... Don't know why I just can't stand him in Legends......
butta54 371 Posted January 29, 2016 Not surprising but....I have to COMPLETELY disagree with Sparty about Legends of Tomorrow. My brother said I should check out the pilot so I did and...this has me WAY MORE intrigued than any of the other TV shows, which is saying a lot seeing as much as I like The Flash. Now with that being said the pilot was pretty crappy in a bunch of ways, but this series has SOOOOO much potential. I absolutely love the possibilities and the little twist they gave us in the very first episode. It looked like they had spoiled everything in the marketing (DC's specialty right now) but the end of the episode does a very necessary twist that may have SAVED the season already. Not to mention this is 99% gonna be the only season of the show cause of the major cost...you know they are going all out and the best part is to come as the pilot was rushed. I'm on board! butta54 371 Posted January 29, 2016 (edited) Network and show runners were talking about before the show started that it would be one season cause it cost too much. http://www.cinemablend.com/television/Legends-Tomorrow-So-Expensive-It-Probably-Won-t-Get-Second-Season-102157.html Can't find the direct quotes anymore, sure if it does crazy numbers there will be a chance, but doubt it. oochymp 2,393 Posted January 29, 2016 wait, it costs too much? how so? from the pilot I wouldn't have guessed it'd be much more than Arrow or Flash On other shows, I've watched this week's Supergirl and Agent Carter last night and I have the CW shows on my DVR (though for some reason it didn't record Arrow, looks like it's set to record it Saturday? I can probably find it On Demand tho) Supergirl is awesome, I love Henshaw's increased role, and Agent Carter is fun, some interesting story lines, I'm interested to see if they tie it in closer to the larger Marvel universe

Sparty 110 Posted January 29, 2016 (edited) Flash: How did you find a way to fuck Captain Cold up? Season 2 has been a shitfest. All of the action has been bottled up into the last 10 minutes, and that's just fucking lame. The only good thing about it is Zoom, and he's rarely gotten any screen time. On episode 8 right now, which is the crossover episode and reading future ep descriptions, Zoom wont make any more major appearances in the next few episodes I have left. THEY EVEN FUCKED THE GRODD EPISODE UP. Smdh. Edited January 29, 2016 by Wolverines Need to Die
butta54 371 Posted January 30, 2016 Its a time travel show so you would naturally have more classic music as you go through time periods. And those are easily gonna start a million per song.

oochymp 2,393 Posted February 1, 2016 Will HULK Become Smarter in THOR: RAGNAROK? The Director Talks | Newsarama.com By now it's well known that Mark Ruffalo's Hulk will be a major character in Thor: Ragnarok, but what isn't known is how he'll change once he reaches Asgard. According to director Taika Waititi, the Hulk seen in Ragnarok might be very different from the one seen in the Avengers movies. "It's interesting, because at the moment, there's a big conversation that's happening about how far to push that,” Waititi told HitFix. “Whether or not The Hulk should be [verbal/conscious]." "I think a lot of those conversations have more to do with what's going to come up in future movies,” Waititi explained. “So I think a lot of those decisions are larger group decisions, rather than anything to do with just me or the writer. They have a lot of stuff that they have to consider. But I do think that's the best way to track it. I think we all want that. I think we all want to see that development and the evolution of that character. I also think you can do it in a fun way." I think the depth they've given Hulk/Banner already is one of the more interesting things in the MCU, so I'm glad to see they're looking at taking that even further
Milla4Prez63 678 Posted February 2, 2016 The Hulk has barely spoken through two Avengers films, and the one time he did was one of the more awesome scenes in a Marvel movie. There are a lot of people who don't like that and want it changed so it will be interesting to see how it happens in Ragnarok. Not as many characters to give screen time to makes it easier to make the Hulk more of a character than a action scene specialist.
butta54 371 Posted February 2, 2016 This writing was on a wall as it always is with Hulk stories. Eventually Hulk always gains control and locks Banner away in his mind. Hopefully they go with more of a mutual and organic partnership rather than the Hulk hates Banner and keeps him suppressed.

BucD+ 648 Posted February 3, 2016 So...I'm on season three of Arrow and really enjoying it so far...question tho... I just finished the Digger (Captain Boomerang) episode where Flash helps Arrow, and his team, out. Should I start watching some of the Flash now? Do I need to watch any of the Flash at all? I know they crossover some, but it already seems like I am behind a bit as they are talking about a few things that I missed by not watching Flash. I'm going to give Flash a shot, but if it sucks, I do not want to force watch some ish if I do not have to...
butta54 371 Posted February 3, 2016 If for some reason you like Arrow...then you should love The Flash cause it's the better show But honestly people that are big Arrow fans tend not to like The Flash that much and vice versa. You don't NEED to watch The Flash to enjoy Arrow. There will be awkward moments during the crossovers that make you feel like you are missing out (had the same thing watching Flash last season) but at the end of the day their stories run pretty separately.
Favre4Ever+ 4,476 Posted February 3, 2016 If you want an even lighter and goofier show with a worthless super hero at it's core... Flash is for you. They will make references to each other from time to time and I think knowing the characters at least in each show will kind of help, but definitely not necessary. Sparty 110 Posted February 3, 2016 Season 2 of The Flash has been absolutely dreadful. Zoom has rarely made his presence felt and the midseason finale felt like it should have been one of the filler episodes.
BucD+ 648 Posted February 3, 2016 Yeah, one of the big reasons why my wife and I enjoy Arrow so much is because of it's dark element. I definitely do not get that dark-feel from Barry Allen and his Flash persona. I mean, I could be wrong, but it definitely has that lighter, teen-like feel to it. As I said, I'm going to give it a go, but I am not holding out much hope. lol

More "cool". It's just Barry going through and whining every episode as his team tells him how to beat bad guys. It's still a solid show, IMO.. but it's strength comes from the rest of the cast and not from The Flash. That's why earlier in this thread I mentioned they should just change the name of the show... The Flash & Friends.... But Mostly Friends. Edited February 3, 2016 by Favre4Ever
