OSUViking 505 Posted October 11, 2012 The only difference between Obama's performance and Romney's was essentially Romney talked louder and was ruder than Obama was. They were both idiots, frankly. Saying either one of them won the debate is pointless. 1
Zack_of_Steel+ 3,014 Posted October 11, 2012 (edited) The only difference between Obama's performance and Romney's was essentially Romney talked louder and was ruder than Obama was. They were both idiots, frankly. Saying either one of them won the debate is pointless. That is exactly how I felt. Romney spewed lie after lie while Obama had only a couple missteps. Romney looked composed, but was loud, arrogant, aggressive, and continually interrupted. Obama was reeling on his heels and looked passive, but actually spoke more truth, despite the fact that his policies also suck. The both of them were extremely disrespectful to Lehrer. The fact that so much of the American public and media are easily swayed by someone's tone and presence in a debate, while ignoring the policy altogether, is laughable. The politicians and the media are fiends who both count on the lemming American public to eat their spoonful of lies willingly and clamor for more the second the spoon's left their lips. I may get flack for my use of "lemmings", but that's what most of the nation has become: lemmings. Edited October 11, 2012 by Zack_of_Steel
Thanatos 2,847 Posted October 11, 2012 (edited) Obama had his fair share of lies as well, most notably continually insisting that Romney has a 5 trillion dollar tax cut. And it looked petty watching, as he just kept saying, essentially, "yes you do" while Romney gave evidence that he didn't. Obama's demeanor also looked like he was just trying to get out of there. They're both awful, but in the minds of the American media, and seems like the people as well, Romney won the debate by a large margin. Thus, Maher's comments.
