BigBen07 285 Posted May 26, 2013 Buy yea the Sharks can never get over that hump and get to a Stanley Cup Final. Closest they came was in 2004 when they lost to the Flames in the WCF in 6. And Red Wings! Just got dominated tonight! Hawks are now down 3-2 and it goes back to the Joe for Game 6! LET'S GO HAWKS!!! SEND IT BACK TO CHICAGO!
Bay 2,003 Posted May 26, 2013 Also didn't the Sharks lose to the Canucks in the 2011 WCF?
BigBen07 285 Posted May 26, 2013 (edited) Also didn't the Sharks lose to the Canucks in the 2011 WCF? in 5, and were swept in the 2010 WCF by the Hawks. The 2004 appearance is the closest in total games Edited May 26, 2013 by BigBen07
BigBen07 285 Posted May 26, 2013 All right, let's see if the Kings will snap their 0-4-3 funk in San Jose tonight, or if the Sharks force a game 7. This is going to be another tight game IMO.
Bay 2,003 Posted May 27, 2013 This series is the best kind of Hockey imo.

Bay 2,003 Posted May 27, 2013 What do you mean Bay? Low-scoring, grind it out Hockey.
CARDINAL 205 Posted May 27, 2013 Low-scoring, grind it out Hockey. With a nice sprinkling of fantastic saves by both the Kings and Sharks goalies! #NHLPlayoffs
BigBen07 285 Posted May 27, 2013 This series is the best kind of Hockey imo. Damn straight. I'd take this over a 9-8 game any day.
Bay 2,003 Posted May 27, 2013 With a nice sprinkling of fantastic saves by both the Kings and Sharks goalies! #NHLPlayoffs Yep, Niemi has had an awesome season. Very deserving to be named a Vezina finalist.
CARDINAL 205 Posted May 27, 2013 Yep, Niemi has had an awesome season. Very deserving to be named a Vezina finalist. Who do you think will end up winning the Vezina Trophy this season Bay?
Bay 2,003 Posted May 27, 2013 Who do you think will end up winning the Vezina Trophy this season Bay? (Sergei) Bobrovsky registered a .932 save percentage with a 2.00 goals against average and four shutouts in 38 games played this season. (Henrik) Lundqvist is the reigning Vezina winner and this year's nomination is the fifth of his career. In 43 games played this season, Lundqvist recorded a .926 save percentage with a 2.05 goals against average and two shutouts. (Antti) Niemi recorded a .924 save percentage with a 2.16 goals against average and four shutouts in 43 games played this season. The winner of the award is expected to be announced some time during the Stanley Cup final. Bob deserves to win it, but he won't. So I'd rather see Niemi win it over Hank.
CARDINAL 205 Posted May 27, 2013 Bob deserves to win it, but he won't. So I'd rather see Niemi win it over Hank. If only the Blue Jackets had made the playoffs this season, then it would be almost a 100% lock-in that Bob would win the Vezina Trophy. I still think that is a 50-50 chance that he can still win, even though they just missed the playoffs!
BigBen07 285 Posted May 27, 2013 So much for parity in the NHL: The last 5 cup winners are still around.
blotsfan 2,112 Posted May 28, 2013 Considering that means the last 5 cups were won by different teams...
JetsFan4Life 542 Posted May 28, 2013 Yeah that's pretty amazing parity actually.

BigBen07 285 Posted May 30, 2013 What a way to end the series. Seabrook of all players... Let's go Hawks! Crush L.A.!
PackIsBack 124 Posted May 30, 2013 Thankfully the Blackhawks won Game 7 tonight in overtime against the Red Wings. It was certainly an interesting series and a nice way to say goodbye to the Red Wings who are on their way to the Eastern Conference next season. As for the Blackhawks, I'm proud of them and I hope they do well against the Kings in the Western Conference Finals
WindyCitySports 407 Posted May 30, 2013 WWWWWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The Hawks march on, and Detroit STILL sucks!
FartWaffles 1,857 Posted May 30, 2013 I'm glad the Blackhawks won tonight, especially after getting robbed of that earlier goal late in the 3rd period! I'm rooting for the Blackhawks and the Bruins to make it to the Stanley Cup Final.
Bay 2,003 Posted May 30, 2013 I'll go with Blackhawks over Bruins. My Cup Final picks still alive.
