oochymp 2,393 Posted February 22, 2015 and we get a Busch-less Daytona 500, woohoo in all seriousness tho, I hate that Kyle does so many lower series races, something like this was bound to happen to him at some point
Favre4Ever+ 4,476 Posted February 22, 2015 All the crazies are slowly being escorted off the track for one reason or another. Natural selection or some such thing. Now if only Ray Lewis would lose his ride.
FartWaffles 1,857 Posted February 22, 2015 I hate to be that guy, but what is so great about cars making fast left turns for hours to keep y'all entertained? I completely understand the thrill from the driver's perspective, but just cannot comprehend the perspective for their spectators. 1

I say a similar thing about baseball all the time I honestly don't get Nascar, but my dad loves it and I usually watch the bigger races with him. I absolutely love most other forms of racing, and have done a bit of MX and some 4 cyl class dirt track driving. Nice race for Lagono. Little bummed out for Dale Jr, he was killin it for a while. I completely understand the thrill from the driver's perspective, but just cannot comprehend the perspective for their spectators. first of all, I'm pretty sure you could ask that about any sport, as for NASCAR, I can only speak for me personally, but I really enjoy watching the craziness of putting 43 cars on the same track going 200 miles per hour, the craziness is great entertainment, and there are some great personalities in the NASCAR circuit, which just adds to the entertainment
FartWaffles 1,857 Posted March 1, 2015 and there are some great personalities in the NASCAR circuit, which just adds to the entertainment Can you give examples? Pretty much every interview I've ever seen from a NASCAR driver can be summed up by Talladega Nights, except the movie is actually funny.
Favre4Ever+ 4,476 Posted March 2, 2015 Man, what a rough start for Jeff. His car just seems to find its way into other cars or into a wall somehow. Not only that but it is happening late in races.. Real unfortunate. Yet again Kahne and Edwards are towards the front most of the today and then finish close to the middle. Tsk tsk.
oochymp 2,393 Posted March 12, 2015 NASCAR reinstates Kurt Busch; Chase requirement waived NASCAR really should just get rid of the "compete in every race" requirement of Chase qualification if they're going to waive it every single time a driver misses races
Milla4Prez63 678 Posted April 26, 2015 Kurt wins at Richmond, so even with the suspension he is probably going to make the Chase.
oochymp 2,393 Posted April 27, 2015 (edited) yeah, I hate that Kurt is even eligible, really my only complaint about NASCAR is that it feels like they make up the Championship rules as they go along, because they kinda do apparently Kyle Busch is going to try to come back in July and NASCAR is waiving all of the requirements except for winning (which includes a points threshold and the attempt to qualify in every race requirement) Edited April 27, 2015 by oochymp
Milla4Prez63 678 Posted April 28, 2015 Kurt never should've been suspended to begin with, the Kyle thing is BS though if true.
Milla4Prez63 678 Posted May 3, 2015 That was the most pathetic Talladega race I can remember. Seeing these losers run around single file for the last 20 laps afraid to pull out and make a move was a joke.
oochymp 2,393 Posted May 3, 2015 That was the most pathetic Talladega race I can remember. Seeing these losers run around single file for the last 20 laps afraid to pull out and make a move was a joke. put nobody was able to make a second line work late, they did try, I thoroughly enjoyed watching Jimmie fend drivers off on the last couple laps to give Dale the win
Milla4Prez63 678 Posted May 3, 2015 Tony Stewart was the only one who tried and he couldn't get more than one or two drivers to pull out with him. Everyone played scared at the end and waited too long, that isn't what Talladega is about.
Milla4Prez63 678 Posted May 12, 2015 Kyle Busch is returning this weekend for the All Star race.
oochymp 2,393 Posted July 20, 2015 I have not been paying a whole lot of attention this season (the new Chase format makes the regular season pretty useless) but damn, Kyle Busch is burning it up, three wins in the last four weeks and he's almost in the top 30 despite missing the first 11 races
Milla4Prez63 678 Posted July 21, 2015 NASCAR should without a doubt just abolish the run all the races rule for Chase eligibility since they won't enforce it.
Sarge+ 3,436 Posted July 22, 2015 People give Goodell and the NFL a lot of shit, and a lot of it is deserved... but NESKAR is just completely inconsistent with pretty much... everything, and they seem to make things up as they go.
oochymp 2,393 Posted August 17, 2015 three more races until the Chase, and Kyle Busch is in the top 30 despite having run only 12 races (to 23 so far this season) proving just how meaningless that requirement is
oochymp 2,393 Posted September 14, 2015 I usually go to the Richmond races, but this weekend I had family visiting that had no interest in going to the race and there were thunderstorms predicted (I've been to a race there that got pushed way back, ended up there until 3 AM, not fun) so I watched it from home, I was rather irritated that I didn't get to witness Matt Kenseth's domination in person when I was so close but anyway, the Chase is about to start which means races actually matter

oochymp 2,393 Posted September 16, 2015 Anyone have any interest in this? The Chase Grid™ Battle I know we've got a few other NASCAR fans here and some others that might be willing to jump into a bracket, if enough other people are interested (and I'm going to arbitrarily say that 'enough' is three more) then I'll create a group
