Not really sure why the GOP even bothers with a debate on a liberal bastion like CNBC. Mainstream media is completely biased towards leftist policies with the exception of Fox News, and of course Fox is awful the other way.

 

Agree with SteVo the moderators and their questions were awful and showed their biases clearly.

I didn't watch more than 10 minutes, i might try to catch bits and pieces... But Trump destroyed the CNBC and the panel in his closing arguments. It was great. And talking afterwards he mentioned how the Democrats got lobbed softball questions and how biased they were. Actually, many of the candidates from the very little I saw attacked the liberal media and their brainwashing of people.

Maybe this group of Republicans isn't as bad as we originally thought.

No offense Phail, but I think your rather severe left leanings are biasing you on this one.

 

The questions were ridiculously leading and condescending. Asking why Rubio didn't "wait his turn" to run for President? Calling him a "young man in a hurry?"

 

Asking Huckabee if Trump had the "moral authority" to unite a nation? Seriously?

 

Oh I forgot one of the more ridiculous ones: The moderator tried to argue that Carson's image being used on a website was a strike against his judgement and ability to control his image. What the fuck? The internet is a vast place, it's quite easy for someone to use someone's image without their permission. They sounded like a complete idiot with that one.

 

None of that strikes you as leading and/or condescending? CNBC has been basically nothing but a leftist propaganda machine this election cycle. Not surprised at all with these type of idiotic questions being asked. And then you compare those questions to the one asked at the Democratic debate, just lol. Softball after softball.

Wow, those words were actually used? Ha. Awesome. So basically CNBC was tyring to corner them and bait them into certain unfavorable responses that would make them look bad. Attacking Rubio for his youth... And to me, what sounds like trying to bait Huckabee into some kind of religious answer.

 

Unfortunate that these things should happen. I think the next GOP debate is actually here in Iowa. I hope I can find a way to go, somehow.

Ted Cruz will never get my vote for President. But that was the best moment of the debate and major kudos to him for pointing out how ridiculously biased the moderators were.

Ya, like.. I understand that the network has an agenda. I understand that the left isn't going to vote for any of these candidates no matter what and they want the circus. It kind of fits the narrative. There was a lot of talk of how in previous debates that the candidates just attack each other and how they don't talk about the issues... And then we have the Democratic debate, and everyone throws them a party because they talked about real issues. So, the way CNBC handled this doesn't surprise me. It's them keeping up with the narrative and trying to direct your thoughts and emotions a certain direction.

The entire debate was more about that than it was providing for a stage to actually debate. It was about CNBCs agenda and their message. It's an incredible disservice to viewers. These debates, no matter your feelings about republicans or Democrats or whatever isn't about the networks (or shouldn't be, rather). This is about weeding out and finding the next President of the United States.... These debates for a lot of people are going to go a long way as means of informing them and seeing these candidates in a public setting.

What CNBC did is incredibly tactless and disrespectful -- not only to the candidates, but to the American people. It was a joke and they should be embarrassed.

Sorry for the double post but this article is insane... Calls out one of the moderators for flat out lying about Rubio's tax plan... The evidence? The moderators twitter account and articles HE WROTE. LMAO. Holy shit. This is ridiculous. I've never seen anything quite like this before.

And this is from the article, but this is the "question" posed to Rubio:

The Tax Foundation, which was alluded to earlier, scored your tax plan and concluded that you give nearly twice as much of a gain in after-tax income to the top one-percent as to people in the middle of the income scale. Since you’re a champion of Americans living paycheck to paycheck, don’t you have that backward?

 

 

That's not even a question (I mean it is, but hold on).... That's CNBC making sure their voice is the loudest. This is a network making sure their commentary is on the record. This... THIS?!?! This is propaganda.

CNBC has the same agenda as CNN. They want Hillary in the oval office. The Republicans still suck. They're all going to do whatever their doners want. Exactly the way Obama has. That was exactly my point. As a network dedicated to extending liberal propaganda, you need to to be able to still put on the debate for it's purpose. I think it's a growing contingency among young voters especially that many have been disillusioned by the system and how it "works". I don't think this particular incident will do major things for that, but just reaffirm to many what they already knew or thought they knew. Hopefully it will start to at least open the eyes of others a little bit... The big question though isn't so much, is it broken? It's more... How do we fix it? One thing is for certain and that is that it starts with us.

I don't really see how he's more dangerous to be honest. Rand Paul is the only one of them that isn't a hawk. He's not a religious zealot that wants to force his morals on us and attack our personal freedoms. All this talk about a wall hyperbole lol. In theory it's a good idea... Everyone is loving Bernie and his "let's be the EU" minus the sound and smart money. But with the debt racked up by this country starting with FDR and then since Nixon officially nixed it in the 70s, it would make it entirely difficult to really get back onto a true gold standard. One thing is for certain though and that's that The Fed is entirely too powerful and needs to come down to Earth. I think that is the bigger picture here. Yes, guys like Cruz and Paul advocate for the return of the gold standard, but it's unlikely to happen. Reagan explored the possibility himself and realized that it just wasn't feasible. We're just to far into the hole to do something like that.... IMO, it's more about realizing that the Federal Reserve is an institution of evil that must be restrained (slight exaggeration, possibly.)
