Omerta+ 1,206 Posted July 3, 2017 (edited) Zack Martin is not better than Yanda in any realm, and there are a few other Questionable's, but for 100 players not bad... Also now way you can take into account past seasons and say Shazier is better than Mosely, and damn sure not by 50 spots Edited July 3, 2017 by Omerta
.AirMcNair. 1,232 Posted July 3, 2017 As some quick observations. Marcus Mariota and DeMarco Murray aren't top 100 players. You can't make the arguments you do against Elliot then call Murray a top 50 player. They're in the exact same situation, good backs behind elite lines, only Elliot is even more talented than Murray. No Taylor Lewan is dumb. He was the best player on the roster last year. Played like a top tier LT. Trent Williams at 63 when he's been arguably the best LT in football for the past 4-5 years is laughable. He's every bit the pass blocker Whitworth is, and twice the run blocker he is. Not sure in what universe Whitworth would rank ahead. If not for some injury issues I would say Williams belongs in the top 10, could even make that argument without that. Hankins in the top 50 is..confusing, to say the least. Good player but top 50? lol at Todd Gurley. He was Ray Charles last season. still better than that garbage NFLN list tho. Cherry 1,302 Posted July 3, 2017 Zack Martin is not better than Yanda in any realm, and there are a few other Questionable's, but for 100 players not bad... Martin isn't as heavy a hitter in the run game but he has much better lateral movement as a pass blocker and has better mobility in general when asked to move through space. It's really just preference. Yanda mauls guys within ten yards. Martin blocks guys within twenty yards.

Elliott not more talented than Murray. Mariota was borderline as hell. He barely snuck on. Lewan and Conklin were both right on the border. In that 110 range. Just didn't make it on. Trent Williams doesn't impress me that much . He always seemed sluggish to make his blocks when I watched him. Maybe I'm just hating on the Skins too much. Snacks just eats people for breakfast. I don't know of any NT in recent years that has been as dominant as he has. I think he was underrated af in NYG. As a Rams fan your Gurley comments hurt me. He was behind one of the worst NFL lines in years. Dude was getting mauled as soon as he touched the ball. He's still a very solid back.
Cherry 1,302 Posted July 3, 2017 JJ watt watt didn't even play last year. He's not even top 500 in that regard Notes 1. This is a combination of 2016 and previous seasons. Learn to read.
Cherry 1,302 Posted July 3, 2017 One year vs 2 years of productivity still pushes him off the list Not when Watt had 69 sacks in the previous 4 years as a 3-4 DE who plays off the guard and has to get penetration from the inside. He's one of the best interior linemen to ever play and one season of limited production due to injury does not change that. Make your own list if you feel otherwise. Agree to disagree I guess, Yanda is stupid mobile for his strength that is why he is super dominant. There was nary a guard even close to him on PFF, which I will concede I am not their biggest fan either, but I digress,

Cherry 1,302 Posted July 4, 2017 (edited) Snacks is Damon Harrison, BTDubs. But I thought snacks was the best NT. Fucking Hankins. (I felt like I was getting them mixed up for the nickname but I wasn't sure) Edited July 4, 2017 by Chernobyl426

He's much stronger than Martin and if I'm taking one offensive lineman to move a defender to his ass, I'm taking Yanda. That said, the opportunities Martin's athleticism opens up for you is too much for me to pass up. I love linemen with wheels.
