Maverick 791 Posted April 12, 2011 (edited) Hold up a second... Brownage is a fan of the Lightning, Sarge is a fan of the Penguins...obviously you guys have a history of not getting along. A day before the match-up and only a false assumption of sarcasm? Fuck that. I expected better.. Edited April 12, 2011 by Maverick

JetsFan4Life 542 Posted April 13, 2011 Here's the playoff history between the teams playing (starting with Stanley Cup Final era 1918). EAST Washington and the New York Rangers have played against each other five previous times in the playoffs, with Washington winning 3 of the 5 series. They most recently played in the 2009 Eastern Conference Quarterfinals where the Caps won the series 4-3. Washington is looking for its first Stanley Cup, the Rangers are looking for their fifth. Philadelphia and Buffalo are playing for the ninth time in playoff history. Philadelphia has won five of the previous eight times. Their most recent meeting was the 2006 Eastern Conference Quarterfinals, which was won by the Sabres 4-2. Buffalo is looking for its first Stanley Cup, the Flyers are looking for their third and to make a return trip to the finals. This is the 33rd time the Bruins and Canadiens are doing battle in the playoffs. Montreal has won the majority of the time, 24 of the 32 playoff matchups. Boston won the last time these teams played though, a sweep in the 2009 Eastern Conference Quarterfinals. Montreal is looking for their 24th Stanley Cup since 1918 (25th overall) while Boston is going for their 6th Stanley Cup. Pittsburgh and Tampa Bay have NEVER met in the playoffs. Pittsburgh is trying to get their fourth Stanley Cup, the Lightning are trying to nab their second. WEST Vancouver has lost to Chicago three of the four times they have met in the playoffs including last year in the Western Conference Semifinals in six games. Vancouver is in search of their first Stanley Cup, Chicago is trying to get their fifth Stanley Cup and repeat as champions. San Jose and Los Angeles have never done battle in the playoffs. Both have never won a Stanley Cup either, with San Jose never even appearing in one, and the Kings only appearing in one. Detroit and Phoenix are playing for the fourth time in playoff history, with Detroit winning all the previous times including last season in the Quarterfinals in seven games. Detroit is trying to win their 12th Stanley Cup and Phoenix is trying to get to their first final and win their first cup. Anaheim and Nashville have never met in the playoffs. Anaheim is trying to win their second Stanley Cup while Nashville is trying to get to and win their first.

All awesome. I watched Flyers/Sabres. I can't wait for Game 5, the intensity of that series is amazing. Two double overtime games in one night is amazing. Detroit is the first team through after completing the sweep of Phoenix last night. Montreal is hot tonight, should be a good one between them and the Bruins. Canucks look to end the Blackhawks season tonight as well. Also, these Philly players need to stop the whining.
Maverick 791 Posted April 22, 2011 (edited) Are the Canucks choking or...? Damn, on the brink of elimination Chicago beats Vancouver 7-2, and now last night they beat them 5-0. Edited April 22, 2011 by Maverick
