Didn't strike 'em out, but it was a perfect inning. Brian McCann further entrenched himself as the best catcher in baseball tonight. 4-4 with a clutch 2-run single in the 7th that gave us the lead in the eventual win. The Cardinals are expected to recall Brandon Dickson from Triple-A Memphis to take Ryan Franklin's spot on the roster. Dickson impressed during spring training and has had a solid year at Memphis, posting a 3.86 ERA, 1.31 WHIP and 70/20 K/BB ratio over 100 1/3 innings. He'll move into a long relief role. We lost today, but did you ever think you would be talking about the Pirates in the playoff race in July? I realize Friday is July 1st but with our pitching, we're not going anyway. At least not yet.
