Turry 755 Posted May 1, 2011 Sports Illustrated's Don Banks believes free agent David Akers could wind up in Dallas or Washington. The Eagles' long-time kicker was all but shoved out the door on Saturday when Philadelphia drafted Nebraska K Alex Henery at No. 120 overall, the earliest a kicker had been taken since 2006. Considering the problems the Cowboys and Redskins have both had with their kicking games of late, and their familiarity with Akers, they are two very distinct possibilities for landing spots. westbrookforsix 28 Posted May 1, 2011 I'd rather he go to Washington. It was his first team and I feel like I'd hate him a little less than I'd hate him as a Cowboy. Though I would love to watch his leg slowly wither away in Dallas, wondering "WHY DOES THIS KEEP HAPPENING TO US?" The curse of Vanderjerk.

westbrookforsix 28 Posted May 1, 2011 Akers isn't being pushed out the door, he's just not performing as well as some young blood in college can. He hasn't made a long kick in ages.
