Anthony 78 Posted August 1, 2011 Can't even read the name Lester Hayes without thinking of stuttering and "stickum"
Favre4Ever+ 4,476 Posted August 1, 2011 Mike Haynes and Herb Adderley both make the list twice. Pretty cool.
NaTaS+ 958 Posted August 1, 2011 7. Hanford Dixon and Frank Minnifield, Cleveland, 1986-1988. These two had a shorter peak than many other cornerbacks on the list, but for a three year stretch were the best in the game. Dixon was an all-pro in 1986-87, and Minnifield in 1988, as the Browns reached consecutive AFC Championship games. I miss those days, I was young as fuck but I remember those two tearing it up. Krawnka 282 Posted August 1, 2011 No Albert Lewis and Kevin Ross ? Exactly the first thing that came to my mind...I'd even go as far as Dale Carter and James Hasty.

Phins4life 271 Posted August 1, 2011 Kind of disappointed Madison/Surtain aren't on either list. Perhaps they weren't as good as I thought I remembered. I was younger and didn't really follow the game that close.

Krawnka 282 Posted August 2, 2011 I know the Patrick Surtain/Ty Law tandem didn't live up to my expectations.
Phins4life 271 Posted August 2, 2011 I know the Patrick Surtain/Ty Law tandem didn't live up to my expectations. I think they were both a little past their prime at that point, if I recall correctly.
Krawnka 282 Posted August 2, 2011 They were, but I was one of those fans who wanted Ty Law to play opposite Surtain...back when I still believed Sammy Knight was still good enough to start...
