Cardinals RB Ryan Williams Likely To Miss Season

Recommended Posts

On his first carry of the game... He goes down.. Looks like a knee / ankle, had to be carted off the field.

Will update once the injury is confirmed.

The early indication on the injury was that Williams ruptured a patella tendon, which would require season-ending surgery.

Most of the Cardinals gathered around Williams as he was helped to the cart. With his head in his hands, Williams was consoled by several players, including receiver Larry Fitzgerald and running back Beanie Wells.

Williams was injured on a simple hand-off to the right side, and it was hard to tell from the TV replay what happened. It appeared his leg was twisted as he was tackled.

Karma for a bad draft pick, perhaps? Though Russell Okung was carted off the field last week and his injury wasn't season ending. We shall see.

Updated... Ruptured a tendon, and likely to miss the season. Too bad.

I'm not sure how effective he would have been, still sucks regardless for them.

Damn, what's up with 2nd round RB's getting injured the last 2 seasons? Shefter pointed out that Ben Tate and Montario Hardesty got injured last year also. Now it's Ryan Williams and Mikel LeShoure.

So much for the hype to if he was going to challenge Wells for the #1 on here

The Cardinals are going to be that team that just says fuck it lets throw deep, on 75+ percent of the snaps.

Wow, another rookie RB goes down. That's a shame because he could have made an immediate impact for the Cardinals.
