**Update** Seahawks acquire Winslow for late-round pick

Don't worry, it'll be upgraded to a 6th. :troll:

I guess Winslow could have shown up but he had a understanding that he wasn't going to participate that much because of his knee problem.

Not to worried about his knee issue though because he had this same injury and didn't miss a game playing for Tampa.

Yep, didn't miss a game in his time in Tampa. His knees may be hurting and he may miss practice, but the guy doesn't miss a game and gives you solid production and frankly, that is all what matters.

This is a great trade for the Hawks, IMO.

Per Rotoworld.com:

One NFL personnel source tells Thesidelineview.com's Adam Caplan that his team put the brakes on pursuing a trade for Kellen Winslow after reviewing his 2011 game film.

"We just didn't think he could be more than a rotational player at this point (in his career) after examining his tape and performance," said the personnel source. That opinion was obviously the majority around the league, as Winslow fetched just a seventh-round pick entering his age-29 season. After six knee surgeries, Winslow's playmaking ability has all but evaporated. May 22 - 5:09 PM

How many INTs did Freeman throw trying to go to K2?

That might matter if any of the other receivers got open. Free threw plenty of INT's elsewhere, he just threw toward K2 more than he did Mike Will or Benn individually. The fact that he threw the ball to K2 more, in double coverage, shows how much lack of faith he had in the other guys last year, all of whom played horribly and clearly didn't put the off-season work in. I don't think it had anything to do with Kellen supposedly "barking in his ear" as some people like to believe. It certainly didn't affect where he went with the ball in 2010.

Any other WRs get in Freeman's face because he didn't throw more balls his ways? Anyone else say that he didn't come here to be a decoy during the middle of a game?

He was a cancer in Cleveland and all signs point to him being the same here. He also has two shitty knees.

There was a reason he was traded and was only given a 7th rounder in return.

Who else was yelling at and grabbing wide receivers to get them into the correct spots? K2 wasn't exactly TO, he got pissed a few times when Freeman had shitty games. At times he seemed like one of the few players that actually tried to win. There's far better arguments to get rid of a lot of the guys on defense, Blount, and all the receivers that both couldn't get open and gave half-ass attempts at blocking.

We have no idea what our new offense is going to be other than running it a lot. Hell, our new OC just came from the Giants whe the TE isn't even used much. For all we know our offense is a variation of what they run. All we know is we are going to run block.

So they replaced him with an old, injured TE who can't get open or run block? Yeah, makes perfect sense. I'm sure they replaced K2 with a guy of equal skill set and less overall talent based on their offensive scheme. Great strategists we have there.

With K2 we had the prospect of V-Jax taking double teams and teams putting their next best cover guys on Mike and Benn/possibly Ed Gant. K2 very well could have been dealing with mostly LB's or a Safety in single coverage for a lot of plays this year. Clark will get hit catches so long as he stays healthy, he's a big man after all, but he struggled to get open against decent LB's and cover Safety's last year. We've seen K2 jump over guys and catch the high ball several times, he's a threat to get a TD on the right play. Clark's feet hardly ever left the ground with the Colts, and Freeman commonly throws balls over head once he's around the red zone as he isn't very good at fitting it into tight windows. Unlike Winslow, the odds of Clark getting a TD outside of the 10 yard line is slim.

Fun fact: Kellen Winslow's receptions last year: 75. All Seahawk tight ends last year: 42.

From what I've heard from the Bucs beat writer is that a lot of those picks in which K2 was targeted were because Freeman had a close relationship with K2 and trusted him the most, and forced a lot of throws to him last year.

Winslow said he views his 3 years here as a success.. If he cared about winning they wouldve been a failure not matter what. 0 Zero playoff wins.
