Sarge+ 3,436 Posted June 4, 2012 I hope the Pirates somehow get Mike Zunino but it's not likely.
Tridentdawgpound 1,043 Posted June 4, 2012 Recent history tells that the Braves will draft a bat. Heyward, Minor, Lipka, Gilmartin. It rotates between position players and pitchers and leaves off at a bat.
Piggly Wiggly 960 Posted June 4, 2012 A's could have had that guy if they knew how to fucking tank correctly.
Sarge+ 3,436 Posted June 5, 2012 Holy fuck, we got Mark Appel...
Piggly Wiggly 960 Posted June 5, 2012 Happy with the A's taking Addison Russell. Needed a good SS in the system. Hopefully they're able to sign him, though.
Bay 2,003 Posted June 5, 2012 Max Fried. Alright they got the next best LHP.

Favre4Ever+ 4,476 Posted June 5, 2012 I liked our first pick. Big, durable pitcher. Something we desperately need.
Sarge+ 3,436 Posted June 5, 2012 Now good luck trying to get him signed lol. The Pirates have spent more money in the draft in the last few years than any team in baseball.
Bucman 891 Posted June 5, 2012 Christ, another weak hitting Lefty. Just what the Indians needed!
housemd 338 Posted June 5, 2012 Mark Appel was really a steal of the draft..I didn't expect him to fall that far..

Anyways, Yankees drafted Raph Rhymes in the 30th round, but Raph has already stated that he's coming back to LSU for another year.
BC 331 Posted June 6, 2012 I don't follow the MLB draft. What were the best picks, and where did the LOLpicks go?

Pedro Alvarez was one of his clients, too... Appel will sign. Edited June 6, 2012 by Sarge
Sarge+ 3,436 Posted July 13, 2012 Appel did not sign. Oh well, we get the 9th overall pick next year in addition to our standard pick. May not turn out too badly in the long run anyway.
Piggly Wiggly 960 Posted July 14, 2012 (edited) Well, that's not surprising lol. He was an idiot to turn down Houston's offer, though. Should have taken it, and told Boras to fuck off. I think he'll go in the top 5 next year, though. Good chance at being selected #1, too. Most likely won't get as good as an offer that Houston gave him, though. On another note, I hear Addison Russell (A's 11th overall pick) is doing well in the Arizona League thus far. Bucman 891 Posted July 14, 2012 I like the new MLB rules on letting the guys play sooner. Appeal is a moron.
