Maverick 791 Posted July 24, 2012 SteVo's facebook status a few days ago: Finally, some comeback magic for the Phillies. In other news, a little over 48 hours until Shea Weber becomes a Philadelphia Flyer.
SteVo+ 3,702 Posted July 24, 2012 Not a problem. Once the lockout starts and Nashville goes bankrupt for owing so much dead money to Weber, they'll regret it. In the meantime, the Flyers have a lot of cap space to play with i.e. make a trade for Bobby Ryan.

SteVo+ 3,702 Posted July 27, 2012 $7 mil??? I think Semin is a great talent and all....but dam. Sums up my thoughts. I wouldn't have minded the Flyers taking a chance on him, but only for around 4-5 million.

oochymp 2,393 Posted July 27, 2012 (edited) why couldn't the Caps give Semin that 1 year $7M contract? honestly, tho, I was hoping we'd bring him back with something like 2-3 years $10-15 mil Edited July 27, 2012 by oochymp

BigBen07 285 Posted August 11, 2012 That's not news. It's been well known that the NHL could have a brief lockout. Well, from how he's saying it, the entire season could be lost. That's why I'm a bit concerned.
JetsFan4Life 542 Posted August 11, 2012 The NHL knows it's totally fucked if another lockout happens. I don't see it happening this time.

oochymp 2,393 Posted October 4, 2012 (edited) NHL announces cancellation of 2012-13 regular season schedule through October 24Thursday, 10.04.2012 / 2:00 PM / NewsNHL.com NEW YORK -- The National Hockey League announced today the cancellation of the 2012-13 regular-season schedule through October 24. A total of 82 regular-season games were scheduled for Oct. 11 through Oct. 24. The cancellation was necessary because of the absence of a Collective Bargaining Agreement between the NHL Players' Association and the NHL. SteVo+ 3,702 Posted October 10, 2012 (edited) Take it for what it's worth, but Steve Duemig, a local sports radio host here in Tampa, is saying that there is a lot of progress going on behind the scenes that the general media has no clue about. Duemig says the biggest hook-up at the moment is that both sides are ultimately trying to win the PR battle. Again, consider face value, but it's better news than I've heard in weeks. Edit: Here's what Duemig said on his Facebook page: I heard some very encouraging news yesterday abut the NHL. Tons going on behind the scenes that general media has no clue about. Agreement has to be by Oct. 25 it's the latest date that they could have a full season, so keep that date in mind!. It's coming down to which side will let the other win the PR batle. Now isn't that petty with a whole season on the brink?? http://www.facebook.com/BigDog.wdae Edited October 10, 2012 by SteVo
