The Admiral 28 Posted December 11, 2012 (edited) I cringed every time Gary Neal found himself open tonight. Yikes. By the way, I prefer him to Danny Green. By far. I find him a better overall player and not just a spot up shooter. Manu still scored twenty-something, but he's definitely declined too, hasn't he? Parker is the only Spurs stud still in his prime. Tonight was the worst Timmy has looked since 2010 maybe. He has been playing incredibly this year - and since he has has such a consistent year, i'm gonna chalk it down to a bad night and Asik's deceiving strength. Man, when Gary is on, his stroke and form is beautiful. Problem with Gary is his defense, and Danny Green plays great defense, and can hit spot up 3's. Gary is so much better than Danny offensively (well - shooting wise - he can't do anything else that well) but struggles way more defensively. Glad Danny has bounced back from his WCF performances. Yeah, Manu has declined, but still, he is a key to a championship run for the Spurs. But man, Blair got his ass handed to him but Asik - who is a absolute mountain in the paint but misses the easiest shots. Been awhile since I have witnessed an exciting Spurs game - Rockets just didn't have enough ammo. Edited December 11, 2012 by The Admiral

Been awhile since I have witnessed an exciting Spurs game - Rockets just didn't have enough ammo. I think Parsons needs to have the guts to keep shooting after he hits big shots. He passed up a lot of opportunities near the end of the fourth when he kept Houston in it. Who knows what would have happened had he kept shooting? You're right about Lin's defense. It's atrocious. Harden is just as bad, but they act like he's great because he can get steals. Big deal. Asik has nights where the bunnies go in. Tonight wasn't one of them, but thank god he went 11-14 from the line. I hope that's a sign of things to come. Marcus Morris was ballin' tonight off the bench. Next Rockets breakout player dons #2. The offense needs to run through Lin. I saw MUCH better ball movement without Harden dribbling out the shot clock. Time to let him move without the ball and see what he can do running off screens and/or spotting up. He'll still get his, but maybe Lin will get going and we need him to score since he sucks at everything else.
Gronk'd 15 Posted December 11, 2012 I'm glad we let Lin walk. I was pissed at first. But fatman Felton is playing great.
BwareDWare94 723 Posted December 11, 2012 I'm glad we let Lin walk. I was pissed at first. But fatman Felton is playing great. With the exception of last year's mess, he's been underrated his entire career. I'm actually a pretty big fan of the fatman. How people thought Lin was better is beyond me. ATL_Predator+ 1,196 Posted December 12, 2012 I said it before and I'll say it again, Mike D'Antoni is the WORST possible coach the Lakers could've gone with. Bringing back Phil would've been the logical thing to do. Mike is an offensive...not really a genius, rather specialist. Why the hell are you bringing in a guy that's going to supposedly help one of the top offenses in the league, when your defense is...DOGSHIT. I don't expect things to get better for the Lakers anytime soon, I expect worse. Far worse than anything we've seen to date.

If they trade Gasol and Nash isn't healthy, they have neither. I think it's going to get worse before it gets better.
ATL_Predator+ 1,196 Posted December 12, 2012 Agreed, D'Antoni doesn't seem to want Gasol though by hearing things coming out of LA...but this is how it's been for a few years. Gasol is more valuable than I think than most Lakers fans would be willing to admit, especially now with Nash.

DonovanMcnabb for H.O.F 2,241 Posted December 13, 2012 Frank has no clue on how to handle players and their minutes. Its pissing me off now. A blind man could tell you Kyle Singler is drained. The guy is a zombie out their. Some of the retarded coaching decisions he make and the reasons to back them up... Cut the fucker already!!!!!!!!!!!

DonovanMcnabb for H.O.F 2,241 Posted December 13, 2012 The first all star ballot returns: East starters (as of now): Rondo, Wade, Carmelo, LeBron and Garnett. West starters (as of now): Kobe, Chris Paul, Kevin Durant, Blake Griffin, Dwight Howard There's probably a source on NBA.com or something, I just never go to that site so I wouldn't know. The only source I have is my friend who just read it out loud to me. Apparently Lin is also very close to winning the starting PG spot on the west squad. Scurrrry. BwareDWare94 723 Posted December 13, 2012 Fan voting needs to end with the All-Star game. I'm sick of BG starting at the 4. I really am.

Guest Phailadelphia Posted December 14, 2012 Out of curiosity, who would you start instead Bware? I'm not BWare, but Kevin Love deserves the nod a million times more than Griffin.
blotsfan 2,112 Posted December 14, 2012 (edited) I wouldn't want to give it to someone who's missed almost half his team's games. Maybe as the season progresses, but not now. Edit: I do think Love is a better player though. I guess the bigger issue, which I'm sure you would all agree with me on, is that its too early to do all star voting when the game is about 2 months away.
