oochymp 2,393 Posted February 13, 2013 well, the good news is we're getting back to back games against Florida, the bad news is even if we win both we'll still be in the conference cellar well, good news is we won both games against Florida, bad news is we're still last in the Eastern Conference also, we looked like garbage for most of tonight's game, if we'd been playing a good team we'd have lost about 8-2, but a win is a win and at this point I can't ask for any more than that Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

I only got to listen but sounded like the third period was by far the best period. First period was pretty bad. We were absolutely man handled the first ten minutes of the first period with almost no play in Carolina end. Devils need to stop with this slow start crap. If they play the whole game like the third period they probably win or at least get into overtime. As for the overtime thing, I don't really mind losing overtime teams getting one point IF we implement a system where every game was worth three points and this if we don't get rid of the shootout. (so 3-0 for regulation and 2-1 for overtime win). The fact that some games are three point games and some aren't right now just shows how flawed the system is. If the NHL were to go back to an old format of ties after a five minute overtime then I would agree to do away with overtime losses completely.
