GA_Eagle 595 Posted February 24, 2013 Figured I'd start a new one since the last thread was season 2 specific and has been idle for a little bit. Here's the preview. feeling excited

GA_Eagle 595 Posted February 27, 2013 Anyone heard if they're splitting the third book into 2 seasons?
Favre4Ever+ 4,476 Posted February 27, 2013 Hopefully, maybe even more than that. Not only would the show go on for longer, but it would allow them to go into more detail and cover more from the book.
Bangy 19 Posted March 1, 2013 I love that idea tbh, I only ma aged to read the first book but they missed a lot out which would of been great to watch. This season looks amazing I cannot wait for it.
RazorStar 4,025 Posted March 1, 2013 Episode titles revealed. Episode 9. Prepare your anus. http://winteriscoming.net/2013/02/season-three-episode-titles-revealed/#comments
Thanatos 2,847 Posted March 2, 2013 (edited) Ep. 309 – The Rains of Castamere I guess they're splitting A Storm of Swords then. We all know what Ep. 9 is referring to, and that occurs midway through ASoS. Unless they're doing the entire latter half of the book in Ep. 10, then the second part will be season 4. (I think what they're really doing is trying to put off A Feast for Crows as long as possible, given that most people didn't like it.) RazorStar 4,025 Posted March 2, 2013 well holding it off so Martin can get his fat ass writing the next book already... HBO needs to build up a buffer for the author because he's notoriously slow.
RazorStar 4,025 Posted April 8, 2013 (edited) "got drunk told Sansa they were all going to get raped pulled the King off the battlefield, demoralizing the troops beat up her cousin tried to have her brother killed tried to poison her youngest son." Anyway, Season 3 has officially started! And we're two episodes in already. The good: Tywin does not make idle threats Kingslayer. Still badass. Thoros of Myr is like three times cooler than he was in the book. Mance Rayder. King beyond the wall indeed. We finally have the Reed's introduced. Totally forgot about Margaery, she's really killing it this season, extended time for her has been good since she hasn't had much time to shine in the books. Incredibly manipulative and it just makes me want more books, god damn it GEORGE. The bad: Littlefinger is a creeper Shae sucks, less of her please. My god Sansa is a giant. Joffrey. Favre4Ever+ 4,476 Posted April 23, 2013 I really like this Jojen Reed character. Haven't read the books at all, so I don't know much about him and his sister. But my first reactions is that I an really looking forward to seeing those characters flesh out.

NaTaS+ 958 Posted May 5, 2013 Shae sucks, less of her please. Very accurate description. The actress that portray Shae, Sibel Kekilli, is a former porn actress.
Bangy 19 Posted May 5, 2013 I fucking love this series so far, Thoros and the Brotherhood with out banners are fucking bad ass I am going to love to see more of them. I am also starting to like Jamie this season, he hasn't had this hardship before so it's like we are seeing the genuine Jamie now. I haven't had the chance to read book three yet but I am interested to see how the Tyrells play their hand into this espically with the manipulation of Joffery. Jon is still the best character for me I still want to see his thoughts about the switch.

Shotgun 442 Posted May 6, 2013 I guess they're splitting A Storm of Swords then. We all know what Ep. 9 is referring to, and that occurs midway through ASoS. Unless they're doing the entire latter half of the book in Ep. 10, then the second part will be season 4. (I think what they're really doing is trying to put off A Feast for Crows as long as possible, given that most people didn't like it.) The problem with A Feast for Crows was Martin split the characters into two books with A Dance with Dragons. I doubt they will do the same with the TV show. I would guess they will just combine A Feast for Crows with the first half of A Dance with Dragons so they can continue the show with all characters involved. If they do that I think it will be a lot more enjoyable to watch. The second half of a dance with dragons has plenty more content to be a season by itself. I think they're splitting A Storm of Swords because it has so much going on. Both the first half and the second half of the book has some pretty shocking things happen, so they basically have 2 major cliffhangers to work with.
Favre4Ever+ 4,476 Posted May 6, 2013 Unfortunately, I bet Duncan isn't the only one who doesn't know who Judge Ginsburg is. >_> lol. Decent skit, nothing amazing though. Story of SNL: lately.
RazorStar 4,025 Posted May 6, 2013 "Chaos isn't a pit. Chaos is a ladder. Many who try to climb it fail and never get to try again. The fall breaks them. And some are given a chance to climb, but they refuse. They cling to the realm or the gods or love. Illusions. Only the ladder is real. The climb is all there is."

Favre4Ever+ 4,476 Posted May 7, 2013 Ya, my opinion shifted on them greatly (not having read the books) after this last episode. Unfortunate. There is wayyyy too much show dedicated to Robb and Sansa though. Worst characters ever get most air time, such a no-brainer.
Bangy 19 Posted May 7, 2013 I don't know I'm actually an episode behind as I stream it and haven't gotten around to seeing episode 6 yet.
