Phins4life 271 Posted July 10, 2013 Read a Phinsider article that got me thinking about who on our team might have a shot at the Pro Bowl...the one that occurs in a vacuum where talent is rewarded over popularity. Anyway, going over our projected starting roster I saw a great deal of names with slight to great potential. One of those feel-good homer moments. Don't judge me. Let's go with Tiers...1-3. 1 is great potential...3 is the dark horse. Tier 1 Cameron Wake Mike Wallace Reshad Jones Caleb Sturgis (if the hype about his leg and accuracy are true) Vonta Leach* (purely a projection based on if we get him) Tier 2 Ryan Tannehill (a crowded list to fight through) Brian Hartline Dustin Keller Randy Starks Paul Soliai Jonathan Martin Mike Pouncey Tier 3 Lamar Miller (highly unlikely, but I can dream) Brandon Gibson (depends on how well Ryan spreads it around) Brent Grimes (has to stay healthy) Dannell Ellerbe (new face - new scheme) Dion Jordan (not even certain how he'll be used) Richie Incognito (depends on how well he blocks for Miller)
KempBolt 498 Posted July 10, 2013 (edited) Tier One -Eric Weddle: Best safety in the game; missing in 2012 was a joke. -Corey Liuget: Good enough to go in 2012 and should be better this year. Tier Two -Philip Rivers: If new scheme/personnel are enough for him to return to 2008-10 form. -Antonio Gates: He needs to stay healthy, but if he does he ought to have the TD's to get a spot. -Kendall Reyes: Great rookie season, so projected progress could get him there. -Donald Butler: Should post some very good numbers. Tier Three -Ryan Mathews: Always that outside chance he stays healthy, and the run blocking will be better. -D.J. Fluker: If his pass pro is adequate, his run blocking might be enough to get him the nod. -Vincent Brown: I expect big things. -Derek Cox: Health is an issue often with him, but the talent is there. -Manti Te'o: Could well be leading tackler and he's already a popular name. Dutch 874 Posted July 10, 2013 Offense Lesean Mccoy Jason Peters Evan Mathis Defense Fletcher Cox Brandon Graham - May be a reach, but he had a great performance in his limited opportunities. Think he has the potential and will transition to 3-4 well.

Dutch 874 Posted July 10, 2013 (edited) No receivers? Do you think that's because of the new scheme or something else? I think the NFC is too stacked at WR talent and our guys miss out. I do somewhat expect Desean to have a great season; I think Chip will utilize him better than Reid did. He's definitely going to have him in the slot more where I believe he's most dangerous but I can't put him over the other guys. I feel as though Maclin can breakout, but he has to show me. He's been a really solid #2 WR thus far. Calvin Johnson Larry Fitzgerald Brandon Marshall Dez Bryant Julio Jones I think those guys will make it. We know what he's capable of, but he's been so hit and miss. Just a hint of stability on that offense throws him into the next tier, imo. An interesting fact is that no one has more TDs than Dez Bryant over the last 3 years except Gronkowski and Calvin Johnson. That's not bad company.

Bang 12 Posted July 10, 2013 Tier 1 RGIII - Made it once, why not again? If he maintains what he's done he has a real shot. Trent Williams - Our beast of a left tackle. Routinely holds his own against the best pass rushers in the league. Tier 2 London Fletcher - Ageless wonder. go ahead and tell him he's old and can't have another 140+ tackle season. Alfred Morris - if the run game stays strong Ryan Kerrigan- With orakpo back he may get a lot more shots at the quarterback Tier 3 Brian Orakpo - Needs to show up Pierre garcon - dark horses can run, right? Bucman 891 Posted July 10, 2013 No hope for Adrian Clayborn? Don't really view him as a big time pass rusher. He is just a scrappy guy who can play the Run well and is decent at rushing the passer.

Piggly Wiggly 960 Posted July 10, 2013 lolwut? Doubt Ridley beats out Foster, Rice, CJ, Charles and even Spiller for that matter. Ridley was pretty damn good last year, and is only getting better. It's pretty feasible that he goes as a reserve.
Crash 105 Posted July 10, 2013 Ridley was pretty damn good last year, and is only getting better. It's pretty feasible that he goes as a reserve. I actually think Ridley is going to have a MONSTER year! With all the lack of receiving talent the pats have it only makes sense that they will return to the offense that one them some super bowls and that's the ground game
