Turry 755 Posted November 5, 2014 ESPN's Ed Werder reports 49ers OLB Aldon Smith's nine-game suspension will not be reduced. Smith will serve the final game of his ban this week against the Saints, before being eligible to return to the lineup Week 11 against the Giants. Dan Skuta and Aaron Lynch have been filling in nicely for Smith opposite Ahmad Brooks. Source: Ed Werder on Twitter

Glanvilles Grits 142 Posted November 6, 2014 Has anybody heard if Daryl Washington's ban was reduced? Washington was never named in the original retorted players list. Right now he still is suspended for the full season. Much more so, they're now saying that he could possibly be suspended for the first 6 games of 2015 because of the new Domestic Violence policy where the first offense is 6 games or whatever. Vin+ 3,121 Posted November 9, 2014 ESPN's Ed Werder reports suspended OLB Aldon Smith failed to complete counseling, which is why his nine-game ban wasn't reduced. Smith was supposed to complete counseling and community service. He went above and beyond on the community service, but is at odds with the league on the counseling part. It doesn't really matter now, as Smith is eligible to return to the team on Monday and play next week against the Giants. Source: ESPN.com
