Vin+ 3,121 Posted April 13, 2017 Presumptive No. 1 overall pick Myles Garrett will not attend the draft in person. Garrett is opting for a party at his church. Among the players who will be in Philadelphia are quarterbacks Mitch Trubisky, Deshaun Watson and DeShone Kizer. A complete list of players attending can be found at the link below. SteVo+ 3,702 Posted April 13, 2017 No Mahomes is interesting to say the least. Is it? Seems like Trubisky and Watson are the two most "high profile" QBs (and that's a relative term, in this class), followed by Kizer. I'm not surprised he's first man out, per say. I'm not surprised he's first man out, per say. He's taken over Kizer in most media eyes lately from what I've seen, and has been established as QB3 when Kizer is QB4. I've seen buzz about him going as high as top 10, and Cardinals at 13 is becoming a very realistic landing spot, according to most people.

OSUViking 505 Posted April 16, 2017 I frankly don't understand where all the hype for Mahomes came from. And I thought McCaffrey had completely fallen out of the first round? Just about every mock draft I see has him going between 10-25.
SteVo+ 3,702 Posted April 16, 2017 (edited) I frankly don't understand where all the hype for Mahomes came from. And I thought McCaffrey had completely fallen out of the first round? Just about every mock draft I see has him going between 10-25. He's definitely shooting up mock draft boards, though he's still somewhat of a polarizing prospect in terms of his first-round value. In fact, Peter King polled a bunch of draftniks about where McCaffrey would go, and this is what they said: Draft Analyst Pick Projection Dan Hatman, The Scout Academy 8 Bucky Brooks, NFL Network 14 Todd McShay, ESPN 14 Mel Kiper, ESPN 14 Matt Miller, Bleacher Report 14 Dane Brugler, NFLDraftScout.com 14 Daniel Jeremiah, NFL Network 15 Mike Mayock, NFL Network 16 Steve Palazzolo, Pro Football Focus 19 http://mmqb.si.com/mmqb/2017/04/10/tony-romo-nfl-broadcaster-cbs-dallas-cowboys-peter-king Edited April 16, 2017 by SteVo
SteVo+ 3,702 Posted April 16, 2017 Ok guys, I had a dream involving a couple TGPers, so I thought I would share. It's draft night. There are a bunch of people in a viewing room of sorts...the best way I can describe it is a really small movie theater, probably similar to rooms NFL players watch film in. There were between 10 and 20 people there total, but the TGPers I remember interacting with are F4E, Bware, and Cherry. 1st overall pick, the Browns take Myles Garrett, as expected. Then, some seriously wild shit goes down... The 49ers are on the clock. Nope! The 49ers have traded down, and now on the clock is the... ...Dallas Cowboys. What??? Simultaneously, it is reported that Tony Romo is NOT retiring and has signed with the Houston Texans. Chaos! At this point, F4E and I are stunned at the trade, so we start figuring out what Dallas must have given up to move from the 20's all the way to #2 overall. We figure it has to at least be their 2nd and 3rd-rounder this year plus a 2nd or 1st next year, though maybe a player is involved as well. The draft goes on, but strangely. After Garrett to Cleveland, the top five or six picks are all guys I've never heard of, players on no mock drafter's radar...and so the NFL Draft turns into this surreal event where the fans/media have severely miscalculated the top prospects in the draft class and the official picks are one stunning selection after the next. Intermixed with this is Bware making extreme remarks and me telling him to tone it down, and me asking Cherry for a scouting report on all the players drafted, which he does flawlessly. And that's it.

SteVo+ 3,702 Posted April 19, 2017 All this smoke connecting Pat Mahomes to the Texans...has to be a smokescreen, right? I mean, the Texans need a QB so badly, and if Mahomeskillet is BOB's guy, why let all this information get out? Unless it's a double smokescreen designed to look like a smokescreen to teams don't buy it.

Yeah, it's especially weird considering that O'Brien is one of the most tight-lipped coachspeak guys in the League. He never says anything to give away his hand.
