2020 Democratic Primary Race

Thanatos, you are such a brainwashed, radical far left fucking snowflake.

Dems have wanted Trump impeached since DAY ONE. Since election night in 2016. Tell me the "crimes" Trump has committed. The whole impeachment hoax was based on feelings, not facts. Every Dem that spoke started off with "I believe", "I think", "I feel". No facts, their pussy was just hurt and is still hurt.

Also hilarious that you refer to Trump as a "dictator". What makes him a dictator? You do realize that Trump and his administration has accomplished far more in 4 years for America than Obama did 8 years? Go Google "Trump administration accomplishments" and see the FACTS.

Now go fuck off and vote for a Socialist in Bernie Sanders. How's socialism worked out in other countries? Answer that one for me.

I'll have your safe space ready for you to cry in after Trump gets re-elected. On the bright side, the left will have another 4 years to try to get Trump impeached and removed again. ORANGE MAN BAD!!! TRUMP RACIST, ALL OF HIS SUPPORTERS ARE NAZIS!!!!1111

I said he's a wanna-be dictator. Stuff like wanting to strip Vindman of his medals just for testifying the truth against him. Stuff like consolidating his power at the expense of everyone around him. Stuff like calling the media the enemy of the people. He echoes dictators in his every day speech all the time.

Trump has accomplished almost nothing. He has two things of note- the criminal law he signed after a bipartisan passage of the bill, and the withdrawal from the TPP. Almost everything else he's done has been to benefit himself or his rich friends. You know, the ones he's caught on tape telling about how the tax cuts will benefit them so much after passing them. Hell, he couldn't even get healthcare passed with full control of all houses of government. Talk about failure lol. GOP talked about repealing Obamacare for seven years and couldn't get it done with full control lol.

It is illegal to ask a foreign government to investigate to a political rival. That's a crime. He breaks the emoulment clause on a daily basis by profiting off the presidency. For example, Trump Towers charges secret service something like $600/night. Just scratching the surface here. 13,000 misleading statements or flat out lies since taking office. And counting.

Ask Norway and Sweden and Finland how Democratic Socialism has worked out for them. Quite well, considering they are some of the happiest people on the planet. Venezuela is often pointed to as a counter example, but Maduros has been rigging elections there quite blatantly. They are socialist, sure, but they are the furthest thing from democratic.

You're getting very triggered by me just stating facts in response to you posting misleading Fox News talking points. I'm fully aware the likelihood is Trump gets re-elected after how the DNC flubbed the initial caucus. The mere fact that its even in question with the economy as it is shows how utterly horrible Trump is as a human being and how much of a complete failure he is as a leader.

I love how you act like people are against him just because they don't like him, when you and yours are voting for him because he's a troll and you just wanna spite the "snowflakes" as you put it. Grow up.

I just think he divides Democrats too much. Not saying that’s necessarily bad or even his fault. But uniting the moderate and progressive sides of the party doesn’t seem like (right now and just my opinion) something he is going to be able to accomplish. There are going to be too many Democrats that peel off and just don’t vote if Bernie has the nod.

He will still get a lot of votes, don’t get me wrong. But it won’t be near enough.

Not only that--but think about all the moderate Democratic Congressmen in battleground districts who will struggle to get re-elected with far-left Sanders on the ticket.

Additionally, I think a similar problem might befall Democrats if Sanders doesn't get the nomination. Think of all the young, far-left liberals who are essentially Bernie-or-nobody voters. They are already disillusioned from the DNC corruption from 2016; if Sanders fails to get the nomination--especially given his current, undisputed status as frontrunner--many of them will stay home or vote third party.

If you're a Trump supporter, you're loving this.

If you're a Democrat, you've got to be wondering: Is there a left-but-not-far-left candidate who can successfully unite the moderate and liberal wings of the party?

Very good point about the people up for re-election in Congress. I actually just read an article earlier this week talking about that possibility. That is Sanders wins the nomination -- which looks pretty likely, especially as the states voting get less white... That he (Sanders) could very well end up costing Democrats the House of Rep and there would be about 0 chance of claiming the Senate. Very , very interesting stuff.

I've been changing my mind on this a lot.. The thought of a progressive vs a moderate taking the nomination. At some points during this process, I felt like it would help to have the progressive. Then I would change my mind later and think that was crazy.. then I was reading all these stories about Warren buttering up to the DNC elites so I was back on the progressive train.. and now that Pete looks like the clear #2 after two votes (again, still a lot can change)... I am beginning to think a progressive nominee is good news for Trump. I think I am gonna stick here though.

But, also a good point by you... It might not even matter, because the Bernie people will probably riot if he loses (the nomination). lol

I agree with sean on one thing here, for sure. On no account am I voting for Bloomberg. He's worse than Trump in the long run.

Moderate Democrats are staying home against Trump? My god, the irony of that would just be too fucking much.

I don’t think a lot of moderates care as deeply about voting just to get rid of Trump as you probably believe. Obviously they dislike him, but a lot of people need a candidate that motivates them... gives them hope... Sanders doesn’t do that for those people. Again , that isn’t his fault. Just the way it is.

Lol if moderates actually had a clue they would know that negotiating from the middle is fucking dumb and the GOP and DNC will likely water down (at the least) all of Sanders' policies. What they won't be able to do is stop him from getting out of all those regime change wars because the executice branch runs all of that right now. Haha he might even give war powers back to congress.

You're totally right. More than likely absolutely nothing Sanders wants to do would pass as is. Saying that they would water it down is an understatement. Hell getting anything even close to anything he wants would be shocking. Even though Presidential powers have been growing out of control in recent years, there is still a pretty limited scope to their power. And even if he directs Nancy (assuming she keeps control and the Speakership)... I still don't think it would get done. GOP would be a non-starter and again... moderate democrats are going to take some serious goading.

Also, I was reading an article earlier talking about how Biden's decline is nto even helping Bernie. All those moderate voters are just shifting to other candidates (mainly Bloomberg it looks like). Overall it does help Bernie though, for now, considering Bloomy was so low previously. Those voters reallllly don't want Bernie, man... lol.

And you may have a point with this " negotiating from the middle " stuff but these are just normal people... normal voters. I highly doubt most of them really think about their candidate on that level.

All these attacks on Bloomberg are giving me a good laugh. His video implying there is no intelligence in being a farmer .... he claims it was taken out of context, and maybe that’s true, but not a great look.

Now there’s a video that surfaced of him at a conference saying black and Latino men don’t know how to behave in the workplace ... lmao. What in the actual fuck.

He also just officially qualified for the debate. I am looking forward to see him get slaughtered

As a farmer, I will confirm that there are dumb farmers. At the same time, I know a lot of brilliant farmers. It's an industry that makes man-babies (big farms that daddy or grandpa built being passed down to entitled little pricks) or it makes self-made men. I have a lot of respect for any farmer who started from scratch or close to it, or generational farmers who weren't entitled assholes who built upon a strong family foundation.

Bloomburg is just Trump without a toupee

Oh he's done plenty worse. First of all, Dems talk about Trump being accused by women- 24. A lot, to be sure. Bloomberg has been accused by 63.

He's been quoted as telling a pregnant female employee to "just kill it," that it would kill her career to have the child. He got upset when one of his female staff got married, claiming "there goes another one."

The man is utter scum of the earth. I could never bring myself to vote for Trump because Trump is in the same old good ol boys club, but for the sake of our democracy I'd far rather see Trump get 4 more years than have Bloomberg buy a Presidency.

Fortunately I don't think there's any way in hell Bloomberg beats Trump if its get that far because the entire progressive wing will sit at home.

Yeah, I was just reading some more of this stuff and some of the guys at work were talking about it too with the debate tonight. I don't understand how he has as much support as he does. Blows my mind... To be fair, I was ignorant of a lot of it until just recently, so i am hoping that is the case with his supporters as well.

They still have their voters over 50...even though they will never take that demographic from the GOP lol. Money in politics has gotten so bad that the Democrats are actually being paid to lose. The Party leadership wants to PC Republicans, while actively trying to sabotage all the candidates in their party that actually energize people.

That's another reason why ya'll need to reconsider Bernie. Whoelse is even talking about getting money out of politics? We know Trump isn't. For all my libertarian peeps, the GOP does the same thing to you guys. They keep electing people that preach against spending but then vote for record setting, deficit increasing, budgets. All while sabotaging and marginalizing anyone that doesn't drink the kool-aide. Getting Bernie elected could actually help you reach your policy goals faster than he can, his. We could form powerful coalitions on certain issues like foreign policy, like I said before with Sanders in office.  Also remember that Sanders is against the surveilence state and the prosecution of whistle blowers and was on board to audit the Fed.

Btw, all those common goals that libertarian minded people have with Sanders, please know that he could be the best shot you see in your lifetime of accomplishing those common goals. Both parties are firmly in lock step on all of those issues.

Bernie does and says some great things. But he isn't uniting anybody.... And he's a little, tiny bit hypocrite. I think most politicians are, so that's cool. Dude owns the same number of houses right now as the average american will in their entire lifetime. He's a multi-millionaire who gives very very little to charity. He is all about accumulating and hoarding wealth. Now, I still believe in capitalism, so more power to him. But it's so off putting to hear one thing from him but see him act totally opposite.

Now Sanders is being helped by Russia. All this Russian fear mongerimg has beena hoax since day 1. This will be used against all the progressive members of congress too. It's only a matter of time.

We already knew Russia was helping Sanders campaign, Mueller told us that way back in 2017. Likely because of his staunch anti-war stance or they believe he's the easiest target for Trump. Doesn't change that he's the best Dem we have right now.

Bernie just came out and promised free child care through the age of 4. When asked how he would pay for it he just said with “ taxes on billionaires “...

Obviously super cool IDEA. But when you’re putting forth 700 new (and again mostly good) ideas to reshape the country.... I feel as if taxes on billionaires, which is his answer for everything, will cover even close to all of this.

He needs to start acting like the nominee. Stop sucking peoples cocks and lubing assholes.... start providing people with details on how this all ACTUALLY is going to work.

He’s so frustrating . Lol

The biggest thing I want from Sanders is how he will get legislation passed. Let's say Democrats re-take the Senate--which is a pretty big stretch--Medicare for All is supported by 16 Democrats. How is President Sanders going to get his party behind it? He really doesn't seem like the type to compromise to Medicare for All Who Want It or something comparable, so is he just going to initiate one failed far-left bill after another and make his party look incompetent? No wonder the Democratic establishment is shitting their pants.

Most of the Democrats in congress are cowards. They'll support medicare for all if they feel not doing so would cost them their seat and if they'd rather take the money, Sanders can help a primary opponent who will. I think at this point it's pretty clear a big majority of democrat voters support medicare for all,  otherwise we wouldn't even be asking this question.
