The last six-ish minutes of the Toronto/Pittsburgh game had a playoff atmosphere to it. Fucking great.

C'mon, Devin. You have the internet. You're capable of looking up these things.

The streak ends and Windy goes missing. :D

I'm still here, and so are the Hawks. It was fun while it lasted.

The Colorado Avalanche have activated defenseman Ryan Wilson from injured reserve and placed forward Milan Hejduk on IR retroactive to March 3.Wilson, who hasn't played since Feb. 2, has three assists in eight games this season.Hejduk, who has three goals and nine points in 20 games this season, suffered a torso injury.

Fuck. Yes.

Finally got our top two defenseman back.

Thanatos, do you see why I said we may have dug too deep a hole? two losses in a row and now we're 8 points back in the division and six points out of a wild card with four teams we need to pass, there's absolutely no margin for error at this point

Washington was playing a good game (dominated the first ten minutes) but never recovered from Ovechkin's two penalties (both of which were bullshit, by the way).

And I think Oates made the wrong decision by pulling Holtby. That Nash goal would have gotten past a lot of goaltenders.

Even though the Flyers got a win, it was a pretty disconcerting one. They played a vastly inferior opponent (sorry, blots) and only came up with an ugly one-goal win.

This team isn't sniffing the playoffs this year unless something drastically changes.

What a fucking finish!

Holy shit!

This is why you watch Hockey.

"What a great shot it was. Might put him in the front of the net for the next power play."

-Montreal coach Michel Therrien joking about Francis Bouillon, who scored on his own net in the Habs' 5-2 win Sunday

Tortorella's postgame interview was pure gold.

"I thought we stunk. And I'm not gonna give Buffalo any credit...I couldn't be more disgusted and disappointed with the way our top guys played, the way we handled ourselves through it. That team was ripe to be beat."

Anyone else enjoying this game as much as I am? SteVo, Sean? I know Ricky is.

lmaoFlyers. Get off the ice you fucking losers. They're getting ass-raped right now..

*end trash talk*

Nah, fun game to watch. Even though it was Volchenkov getting embarrassed seeing him bounce off of Simmonds was kind of funny. Love the way we're back to our aggressive style and forecheck. We've had a lot of space and our offense is making the most of it. Kovy put away that shorthanded breakaway really nicely and I'm really starting to like Loktionov..

This guy. :smug:

I laugh at people who think Bryz is better than Varly.

Don't pull the Flyers defense sucks card either.

The Avs defense was injured as fuck, and we had dogshit Greg Zanon getting #1 minutes

I wish every Head Coach and more players were like this, just blunt when answering questions! Claude Noel, Winnipeg Jets Head Coach, is like this as well but he does it in a sarcastic tone sometimes which is just fantastic! :yep:

Yeah Noel is hilarious. He said a week ago or so, "we're going to score 8,000 power play goals" rofl ( on their upcoming road trip)

5 Devils goals and zero David Clarkson points motherfucking cunt

Tonight was fucking awesome. Can the Devils play like that more? Please? The forecheck was amazing (playoff caliber), our offense was scoring, and Hedberg was solid. Boy I do love dominating the Flyers too (seven in a row against them).

I just saw the Devils/Flyers highlights. The first two goals weren't Bryzgalov's fault but the other three are just the latest examples of him not being able to make any great saves. At all. He's also the worst goaltender in the world against the rush. So yeah. Never gonna win a Cup with him. Be gone, Ilya!

Realignment plan approved by Board of Governors

he NHL's Board of Governors approved the realignment plan proposed last week. The new four-division plan, featuring a new-look set-up for the Stanley Cup Playoffs, will go into effect next season.

The NHL and NHLPA each had input into the plan to realign the League into a more geographically appropriate two-conference, four-division format that features 16 teams in the Eastern Conference and 14 teams in the Western Conference.

The Detroit Red Wings and Columbus Blue Jackets are moving to the Eastern Conference to provide them the ability to play the majority of their games against teams in the same time zone. The Winnipeg Jets are moving to the Western Conference for the same reason.

The Dallas Stars are staying in the Western Conference, but moving into a division that includes five other teams from the Central time zone.

The Stanley Cup Playoffs will still consist of 16 teams, eight in each conference, but it will be division-based and a wild-card system has been added as a new wrinkle.

The top three teams in each division will make-up the first 12 teams in the playoffs. The remaining four spots will be filled by the next two highest-placed finishers in each conference, based on regular-season points and regardless of division. It will be possible, then, for one division to send five teams to the postseason while the other sends three.

The seeding of the wild-card teams within each divisional playoff will be determined on the basis of regular-season points. The division winner with the most points in the conference will be matched against the wild-card team with the lowest number of points; the division winner with the second-most points in the conference will play the wild-card team with the second fewest points.

The teams finishing second and third in each division will play in the first round of the playoffs. The winners of each series will play for berths in the Conference Championship series.

The two divisional champions in each conference will then play in the conference finals to advance to the Stanley Cup Final.
