RazorStar 4,025 Posted October 17, 2013 Sorry for the delay everyone. To answer your questions, Foles, Cassel and Fitzmagic are all shy of qualifying attempts which is why they aren't on the list yet. With 35 qualifying QB's at the moment, the top 12 in a category are elite, and the bottom 12 are terrible. The middle 11 in a category is a safe zone. The Elite (4)1. Peyton Manning2. Tony Romo3t. Bay 2,003 Posted October 17, 2013 Was wondering what was keeping Drew Brees from the elite tier. Whatever it was, guess he improved on it for now.
RazorStar 4,025 Posted October 17, 2013 Just his INT rate, that usually takes poor performances from the guys ahead of him to get up there.
RazorStar 4,025 Posted October 22, 2013 Week 7 is in the books! The Malaise is starting to settle, as we only have two big risers this week in Andrew Dalton and Mike Glennon. One big faller, and he got injured to add insult to that, Cutler is down. Sam Bradford is also down. Those two will however be fixed on the list. Brian Hoyer however will not. He and Blaine Gabbert no longer qualify for attempts so they'll no longer appear on the list. Nick Foles is also short of attempts, there are quite a few QB's sitting in that shy of attempts category, and that may shake things up greatly. The Elite (4)1. Peyton Manning3. Matt Ryan (+2)4. 56AceInDaPlace 110 Posted October 22, 2013 Good to see Locker in the very good spot. Im surprised at how well hes played. Bad playcalling must of made him look bad early in the season. And to think Fitz would be better LOL

KempBolt 498 Posted October 22, 2013 Why is Rivers ranked #2, but on the 2nd tier behind #'s 3 & 4?
RazorStar 4,025 Posted October 22, 2013 His INT rate is 13th best in the league, which means he doesn't get a point in that category. However, his cumulative score is higher than Ryan and Rodgers who are top 11 in every category.
Glanvilles Grits 142 Posted October 23, 2013 Matt Ryan showing how good he is. No big names on the receiving core other than Gonzalez (Who is constantly viced at the line every fucking week) and imagine that, he's elevating his receivers game. Matt Ryan is the man, I wish he could play lights out in the post-season. Then again, I just wish we make the post season this year...

Thanatos 2,847 Posted October 26, 2013 Razor is there any way to do an overall ranking that somehow incorporates the QB's running ability into this?
RazorStar 4,025 Posted October 26, 2013 That'd be a bit of a challenge. I'm sure I could think of something, but I'm not sure how viable a measurement it would be. The nice thing about the way it is set up now is that all of the stat categorys have a strong correlation to winning. Meanwhile running numbers for QB's are vastly disparate. Peyton Manning can run 3 times for -3 yards, and Cam Newton can run 10 times for 100 yards, and they could both end up with wins. I guess if I'm spitballing here, a successful QB run would yield either a first down or a touchdown. Naturally, excluding kneeldowns from that. I'm sure there would be some kind of basis to work with. I'm just not sure how to combine them is all.
Thanatos 2,847 Posted October 26, 2013 Was just wondering, its awesome that you do this regardless. It just seems to hurt a few QBs, namely mine, when you get credit for a passing TD, but not a rushing TD. So if he drives 80 yards, but ends it by running it in, it counts less than if he throws it in. It would have to be effective runs, so any run for first downs or touchdowns seems to be the way to go. RazorStar 4,025 Posted October 26, 2013 I suppose successful runs could also count non first down runs if the run netted enough positive yardage. Like turning a first and ten into a second and two, or a 2nd and 15 into a 3rd and 3 or something like that. hmmm. May be too much work for that though. I'll gather up some preliminary data and see what I get.
RazorStar 4,025 Posted October 29, 2013 Here they are folks, the dirty and raw numbers for week 8. RazorStar 4,025 Posted November 12, 2013 (edited) Week 10 s complete, and we are out of winless teams! Congrats to the Titans and Dolphins for preventing another 2008 Lions. Coming to our QB rankings Case Keenum is a new addition to our list, and as the season goes on, this list will only grow larger. Keenum currently sits in the top ten, but how long will that last when the team around him collapses? Foles has still not thrown an INT yet, but that has to change soon... right? Anyway, here are the numbers. Elite (4)1. Nick Foles (+2)2. Peyton Manning3. Aaron Rodgers (-2)4. Drew Brees Super Good (3)5. Philip Rivers6. Russell Wilson (+1)7. Tony Romo (-1) 9.
