Anytime players have to settle for Oakland to stay in the league it makes me really sad :(

Thought the Lions would let Pettigrew walk and target Ebron.

I like the Patriots picking up Browner, after four games watch out....

I dont know about that. Browner was definitely playing at a average level before his suspension and there was some talks that he may have been benched anyways in favor of maxwell due to his performance even if he didnt get the suspension

Ravens signed RB Justin Forsett, formerly of the Jaguars, to a one-year contract.
Forsett, 28, carried the ball just six times for 31 yards in nine games for Jacksonville last season and battled a foot injury for much of the year. He broke a bone in the foot in Week 12 but appears to be healthy now. Forsett, who owns a career 4.9 YPC average, will battle Cierre Wood and others for No. 3 duties.

Giants signed TE Kellen Davis, formerly of the Seahawks, to a one-year contract.
Davis, 28, played 172 offensive snaps for Seattle last season and caught all three of his targets for 32 yards and one touchdown. After the Bears tried and failed miserably by attempting to make Davis a pass-catching tight end, he found a role as a blocker with the Seahawks. He'll do the same with the Giants.

Lions signed OT J.B. Shugarts.
With Detroit losing Jason Fox to free agency, 24-year-old Shugarts will compete for the No. 4 tackle spot behind Riley Reiff, LaAdrian Waddle, and Corey Hilliard. An undrafted free agent in 2012, Shugarts has spent time on the Browns, Cowboys and Jets practice squads the last two seasons.

Raiders signed punter Daniel Zychlinski.
Teams usually need an extra punter to get through camp, and that is all Zychlinski will be for the Raiders. Oakland will stick with the big leg of Marquette King at punter in 2014.

Wish we could've got more, but I love the Danieal Manning signing. Campbell was a good move too.

Campbell was a solid move. Probably the best back up QB that hit the market along with Vick.

Yep, really felt the Broncos should have made a run on De La Puente. ManRam needs to resume his role as backup guard.

For me it's Hill (who signed to the Rams.) He's real underrated imo. :yep:

Dolphins agreed to terms with WR Damian Williams, formerly of the Titans, on a one-year, $800,000 contract.
He pencils in as the Dolphins' No. 4 receiver. The No. 77 overall pick of the 2010 draft, Williams has caught just 106 passes in four years, but has experience both on the outside and in the slot. Still only 26 (next month), Williams checks in at 6-foot-1, 193 pounds with 4.5 wheels. It's a nice depth signing for a team that's once again been very active in free agency.

Panthers agreed to terms with S Thomas DeCoud, formerly of the Falcons, on a two-year contract.
The deal is worth up to $3.75 million, and includes a $500,000 signing bonus. DeCoud will start out as the Panthers' No. 3 safety behind Roman Harper and Charles Godfrey, but will see plenty of snaps regardless of his depth-chart position. Godfrey is coming off a torn Achilles' tendon, and expected to spend time in the slot. Now 29, DeCoud graded out as one of the worst safeties in the league in Pro Football Focus' ratings last season, and was similarly ineffective in 2012. The Panthers' front seven has a way of making defensive backs look better, however.

I was hoping we would re-sign Williams, but he'll probably get more playing time in Miami, he's a solid WR but he's not better than any of our top three

Man Decoud fell off bad

I'm happy with the pickup, tbh. With our front seven, you don't have to be a world-beater to work just fine in our system.

DeCoud sucks.

I will enjoy seeing his ass get torched by the likes or Roddy and Julio on a twice a year basis.

Thanks Panthers.

inb4 DeCoud rebounds and does well with a respectable front 7 in front of him.

This is exactly how our system works. We dont need to spend a ton of money on a great secondary, we just need serviceable people. Definitely worth taking a shot on DeCoud, like the pickup.

Pretty much this in my opinion. If the Panthers front 7 continues to perform at a high level, it will make life much easier for Decoud. They don't need an all pro safety back there.

Browns signed FB Chris Pressley.
Pressley missed the entire 2013 season due to a knee injury. Before that, the 5'11/260-pounder was an average lead-blocker for the Bengals. Pressley will fight for the right to be Ben Tate's battering ram in Kyle Shanahan's zone-blocking scheme.

Rashean Mathis, Detroit Lions strike one-year contract

Rashean Mathis is staying put.

Tim Twentyman of the Lions' team website later confirmed the sides have agreed to terms. The veteran cornerback will sign a one-year contract to remain with the Detroit Lions, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported Monday.

Mathis, 33, was the Lions' top cover man last season, starting 13 games after replacing Darius Slay in the starting lineup in Week 3. Mathis -- who spent his first 10 seasons with the Jacksonville Jaguars -- finished with 15 passes defensed and 44 tackles.

Mathis' deal comes one week after the Lions signed cornerback Cassius Vaughn to a one-year pact. The two players join Chris Houston, Darius Slay and Bill Bentley in a group that could gain more company via the draft.

Packers re-signed QB Matt Flynn.
And we now know why Flynn didn't make his previously reported visit to work out for the Giants on Tuesday. Flynn made five appearances (four starts) last season and completed 61.4 percent of his passes for 1,146 yards, seven touchdowns, and four interceptions. He also took a whopping 17 sacks and lost four fumbles. Flynn will have a leg up on Scott Tolzien for No. 2 duties.

Vikings signed TE Allen Reisner, formerly of the Jaguars.
Reisner signed with the Vikings as an undrafted free agent in 2011 before being waived ahead of last season and spending the year with the Jaguars. He caught five passes for 40 yards in five games. Reisner will compete for a roster spot.

Steelers signed P Adam Podlesh, formerly of the Bears.
Podlesh finished 29th in the league with his 37.9 net average last season and isn't going to a friendlier place to kick footballs. He'll compete with Brad Wing and potentially a rookie for punting duties in Pittsburgh.

Texans signed DL Ricardo Mathews, formerly of the Colts.
A 2010 seventh-rounder, Mathews appeared in all 16 games last season, turning in 465 largely-ineffective snaps. Mathews has camped out at end the past two years, but has experience at tackle. He'll compete for a spot as a rotational lineman.

Vikings claimed LB Terrell Manning off waivers from the Chargers.
Manning was waived on Monday after being signed to a futures deal in January. Likely just a roster filler, Manning was limited to one appearance in 2013.
