oochymp 2,393 Posted August 26, 2014 A few people have already posted rosters in their own threads, we usually have one general roster thread and I didn't want to hijack someone else's, so here's a team I just drafted, feel free to post your own in here: a couple particulars with this league: ten team league, PPR, the biggest quirk is you don't have to start a TE, starting spots are: QB, RB, RB, RB/WR, WR, WR, WR/TE, Def, K QB: Tom Brady RB: Matt Forte, Andre Ellington, Chris Johnson, Shane Vereen, Darren Sproles, Jonathan Grimes (WM alum, picked him on a whim, not sure how long I'll keep him) WR: AJ Green, Antonio Brown, Reggie Wayne, Kelvin Benjamin, Dwayne Bowe, Justin Hunter DEF: New England K: Dan Bailey
CampinWithaMissingPerson 2,025 Posted August 26, 2014 TGP PPR league, 12 teams. QB: Matt Ryan, Carson Palmer RB: Shane Vereen, Pierre Thomas, Fred Jackson, Danny Woodhead WR: Dez Bryant, Brandon Marshall, Roddy White, Anquan Boldin, Kelvin Benjamin, John Brown, Allen Hurns TE: Rob Gronkowski, Marcedes Lewis K: Steven Hauschka DET: New Orleans First time I ever played PPR so I went after highly targeted WRs above all else. With RBs I went with those who get a lot of receptions as well (except Fred Jackson.) Grabbed the rookie WRs Benjamin, Brown, and Hurns to stash in case one of them breaks out. I like that in a PPR. Solid QB, could be better, could also be much much worse. WRs are good if not great. Green will get his, and Antonio Brown will too. Reggie Wayne was a stud last year when healthy. Kelvin Benjamin is a boom or bust type pick. Dwayne Bowe is pretty meh, but assuming you got him late, that's not a bad pickup. I am a big fan of Justin Hunter's this year. Kicker and Defense is usually a crapshoot so whatever. TGP PPR league, 12 teams. QB: Matt Ryan, Carson Palmer RB: Shane Vereen, Pierre Thomas, Fred Jackson, Danny Woodhead WR: Dez Bryant, Brandon Marshall, Roddy White, Anquan Boldin, Kelvin Benjamin, John Brown, Allen Hurns TE: Rob Gronkowski, Marcedes Lewis K: Steven Hauschka DET: New Orleans First time I ever played PPR so I went after highly targeted WRs above all else. Your wide receivers are great, but I think Danny Woodhead might be your best bet at RB being a PPR league. I'm super iffy on Vereen, Thomas, and Jackson this year. I like Gronk, but I dont think Lewis deserves to even be on a roster.
Thanatos 2,847 Posted August 27, 2014 (edited) This is a 10-team league with only one dedicated RB slot and 2 keepers. It's also IDP. QBs are 6/TD since for some reason my minions do not want to change it. Green and Graham were my keepers. QB: Matt Ryan RB: CJ Spiller WR: AJ Green WR: Roddy White TE: Jimmy Graham Flex: Rob Gronkowski K: Nick Novak LB: Ryan Shazier LB: Paul Worrilow DB: William Moore DL: Cameron Jordan Bench: DeSean Jackson Bench: Reggie Bush Bench: Reggie Wayne Bench: Mark Ingram Bench: Brandin Cooks Bench: Maurice Jones-Drew Edited August 27, 2014 by Thanatos19
Vin+ 3,121 Posted August 27, 2014 2/7 Leagues drafted thus far: Razor's crazy league: QB: Dalton, Alex Smith. Bradford on the bench RB: Gore, Ellington. J-Stew and Tre Mason on the bench WR: Megatron, B-Marsh, Welker, Keenan Allen. Cecil Shorts, Golden Tate, and Mike Williams on the bench. TE: Greg Olsen. Ladarius Green and Marcedes Lewis on the bench. K: Josh Scobee D/ST: Browns. Eagles on the bench. I drafted Bradford because I wanted a capable guy to plug in when Dalton/Smith are on a bye, but I'm dumb and didn't see that he shared a bye with one of them... Then as is the case with an absurd amount of my players, he gets hurt. One from the same league as Thanatos' previous post (my keepers were Demaryius Thomas and Dez Bryant. Should've swapped someone out for Dez I think, but I couldn't decide and then the draft snuck up on me out of nowhere): QB: Romo RB: Alfred Morris (got auto'd because I was having connection browser issues) WR: Demaryius Thomas WR: Michael Floyd WR/TE/RB: Dez Bryant TE: Greg Olsen K: Josh Scobee DB: Johnathan Cyprien DL: Calais Campbell LB: Paul Posluzsny DB/DL/LB: Karlos Dansby Bench: Jay Cutler Bench: Giovani Bernard (also auto'd) Bench: Toby Gerhart (Saw Reggie Bush was available right when I clicked "Draft Player". I'm dumb) Bench: Kelvin Benjamin Bench: Ladarius Green Bench: Daryl Smith I'm actually concerned a little bit about this team. Pretty big dropoff in talent between this one and the team I had last season. But then again, the only thing last season got me was an early playoff bounce thanks to Jamaal Charles, so who knows. (yes, I'm still bitter about that)
CampinWithaMissingPerson 2,025 Posted August 28, 2014 Your wide receivers are great, but I think Danny Woodhead might be your best bet at RB being a PPR league. I'm super iffy on Vereen, Thomas, and Jackson this year. I like Gronk, but I dont think Lewis deserves to even be on a roster. Yeah everyone jumped on the RBs mad early as usual so I went in on the WRs because the market was all sweating RBs. So when I had to grab RBs I just went after the pass catching ones since it's PPR. I dunno, I think Vereen and Thomas are gonna catch a lot of passes so I ain't sweating them. I just grabbed Fred Jackson for the fuck of it in case he becomes a TD whore like last year. Lewis was my last pick, I just needed a backup TE to play on Gronk's BYE week which isn't til Week 10. I'm probably not gonna hold on to Lewis by then I got someone else in mind down the line but he's not a starter so I passed on him in the draft. I'mma see what happens with the other dude leading up to that.
RazorStar 4,025 Posted August 28, 2014 My 2 QB, 3 PPR league. Prepare for Gerhart dominance. Hedging my bets on Bortles as the backup, but I only need him for two weeks. Houston fills my defense for Seattle's week off, and then I can cut ties early. QBs: Phil Rivers, Big Ben BN: Based Bortles HBs: Toby Gerhart, Danny Woodhead BN: Shane Vereen, Jordan Todman, Alfred Blue WRs: Antonio Brown, Kendal Wright, Brian Hartline TE: Charles Clay Flex: Doug Baldwin, James Jones BN: Kelvin Benjamin, Robert Woods, Jared Cook K: Greg Zuerlein DEF: Seattle BN: Houston

Peyton and AP both fell to me in the mid first round, and I took AP cuz Foles was one of my keepers. Hopefully that works out. I maybe have too much faith in Jordan Cameron as the Browns' only weapon, but I didn't have any better options for my other keeper. I like this league because of the goofy way the positions are set up.

BC 331 Posted September 2, 2014 (edited) 12 team PPR - Extremely high on all starters. Couldn't be there to hand pick the last few guys on the roster but man do I feel in amazing shape with the top 7 guys on my team. Edit: Just swapped Jeremy Hill and Devonta Freeman for Carlos Hyde via Trident, who I think will begin sooner rather than later getting reps and busting long runs/grabs. Expectations: make championship QB | N. Foles WR | J. Nelson WR | V. Cruz RB | M. Forte RB | R. Jennings TE | Z. Ertz W/R | C. Hyde K | J. Tucker D | Panthers --- RB | A. Williams WR | J. Mathews WR | A. Dobson RB | C. Anderson WR | W. Welker WR | J. Kearse QB | J. Flacco D | Buccaneers Edited September 3, 2014 by BC
