BwareDWare94 723 Posted December 9, 2014 Car flipped 2 or 3 times, but he was photographed smiling before he was taken in an ambulance. Hope he's OK
oochymp 2,393 Posted December 9, 2014 http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nfl-shutdown-corner/carolina-panthers-quarterback-cam-newton-injured-in-car-accident-180542411.html that article has a bunch of pictures and says he's got fractures in his back, but from the pictures it looks like it could have been a hell of a lot worse
Bucman 891 Posted December 9, 2014 Wish him a full recovery. But this also means Bucs get to lose twice to Derek Anderson in one season. Maybe that will be enough to fire Lovie Smith
Thanatos 2,847 Posted December 9, 2014 (edited) I really hope he takes the time he needs to get better and doesn't try to rush things just because we're still alive in the playoff hunt. Focus on yourself and your health first. I had a back issue for five years and it is vitally important, especially as a young person, that you do everything you can to fix it as soon as possible and take the full time needed to recover. Football should take a total backseat to this. There should be zero question of starting him on Sunday against Tampa, and honestly he should probably sit for the rest of the season. Best wishes to one of my favorite players to watch on the field. As Bware said, it could have been a hell of a lot worse. FartWaffles 1,857 Posted December 9, 2014 (edited) Yikes! Just imagine if he were driving a small sports car... Glad to hear that he's doing alright all things considered. Edited December 9, 2014 by FartWaffles
Favre4Ever+ 4,476 Posted December 9, 2014 I doubt a smaller car would have flipped and rolled like that.... lol. But ya, kinda sucks that he absolutley goes off on the Saints after a season of struggling and then this happens. Hoping for a quick recovery.
CampinWithaMissingPerson 2,025 Posted December 9, 2014 Wish him a full recovery. But this also means Bucs get to lose twice to Derek Anderson in one season. Maybe that will be enough to fire Lovie Smith Cam might still play. Same injury as Romo, strictly a pain tolerance thing. Cam's been known to play injured and after this past game I gotta figure he's gonna give it a go.

"Coach Rivera, were you aware that Cam had two broken bones in his back?" "He isn't injured guise. I know my QB and he's not injured."

BwareDWare94 723 Posted December 14, 2014 (edited) A vehicle's stability is partially sacrificed when you jack it up like that. I wonder what the other vehicle in the accident was. Not surprised it could flip a Hickup over 2-3 times. Edited December 14, 2014 by BwareDWare94
