oochymp 2,393 Posted October 25, 2015 I'm going to Williamsburg this weekend for William and Mary homecoming and as luck would have it Alewerks is releasing this: their pumpkin ale is delicious so I'm really excited about trying the barrel aged version follow up: they did have it on tap and it's amazing, their pumpkin ale is awesome anyway (tastes like pumpkin pie) so I wasn't sure it could be improved, turns out bourbon can make anything better I also have two bottles (which was the limit)
Sarge+ 3,436 Posted January 5, 2016 My tastes have changed a lot since I made this thread two years ago. Here are my current favorite beers:
Sarge+ 3,436 Posted January 10, 2016 You guys should try this if you've never had it before. The Kimmie, The Yink & The Holy Gose Ale by Anderson Valley Brewing Company. It's a Gose (pronounced Go-suh). German sour beer. Upon first taste, I thought, this is beer? Very unique, I've never tasted something like this before.
FartWaffles 1,857 Posted January 10, 2016 Sours are... interesting to say the least. I've got a buddy who is all about 'em. I haven't put in the effort to develop the taste for it just yet.
BucD+ 648 Posted January 10, 2016 Love gose/sours, and in particular, Anderson Valley's stuff.

Sarge+ 3,436 Posted February 14, 2016 Went to a new liquor store today. Here's how the convo went: Guy: Will there be anything else for you today? Me: Nope, this is it. Him: That'll be 23.99. Me: ... um ... Him: Yes? Me: Aren't you supposed to card people who look under 30? Him: You're under 30? Me: Serge gettin' old. My youth is fleeting.
SteVo+ 3,702 Posted February 14, 2016 Sarge is an IPA man now.
BucD+ 648 Posted February 14, 2016 You like IPAs, eh? You ever try Green Flash's Palate Wrecker?
BwareDWare94 723 Posted February 16, 2016 IPAs are popular because they're the best. On another note, I've lost my taste for liquor.
theMileHighGuy 656 Posted February 27, 2016 (edited) This week in alcoholism... My dad's boss is closing a motel that he owns. On Weds, Me and dad went in and cleaned the bar out. I brought home like 12 cases of beer. Top shelf shit too. Lots of Troeg's and Victory beers, Sierra Nevada, Dogfish Head. The hoppy-loving crowd here would be super pleased. Yesterday, I was helping my mom clean out her friends house who just went to a nursing home. I found a 50+ year old bottle of crown royal. Fun fact, you couldn't even buy Crown in the US until 1964. If this shit was sealed it would probably be worth like $200. I took a swig, it's.... whew. Edited February 27, 2016 by theMileHighGuy
Sarge+ 3,436 Posted February 28, 2016 ^ damn, that's quite a haul Now for something completely different: This is a sour cherry beer. If you guys can find it, you have to try it. It's called Ommegang Rosetta brewed by Liefman's.

Favre4Ever+ 4,476 Posted April 14, 2016 Saw the Indiegogo for that or whatever... ha. Hilarious (i thought anyway). For $10k, you can get a batch brewed with your girlfriends vaginal bacteria.
Bangy 19 Posted April 14, 2016 I won't even like, as soon as the sun is out and the weather is warmer, it's all about Mojitos
Sarge+ 3,436 Posted April 16, 2016 They love mojitos here in Colombia. But the national drink is called Aguardiente (Spanish for firewater). It tastes like shit but it's what the girls want us to buy them. And it gets the job done fast enough.
