Cherry 1,302 Posted September 22, 2016 It means they succeed no matter who is on the team. This is where you're being a goofball. The Yankees used to beat the living shit out of the MLB. They were so good for so many damn years. You know what happened? Talent declined and play declined with it. The Patriots have been to the AFCCG five years in a row. Why would they miss as you've said they will? This is the argument you're using to back the Ravens. It doesnt work. You can't argue a team will do good regardless of who's on the team then argue another team will fail because of who's on the team.
BwareDWare94 723 Posted September 22, 2016 I don't like certain positional groups on the Eagles roster but it's not like they snuck by Cleveland and Chicago. They kicked the shit out of both in the second half.
Thanatos 2,847 Posted September 22, 2016 (edited) . Lol the Ravens go to the playoffs every other year for 20 years. It means they succeed no matter who is on the team. Oh but no SB.. Oh but not 10 years in a row... More silly circular debates... The Ravens are a repeatedly successful team and are way ahead of the curve only existing for 20 years. You could also refer to them as the successful branch of the Browns franchise lol That is not a circular argument. You cannot just make up things like that, lol. A circular argument is already defined as something else- an actual circular argument is one that returns to its starting point. The term you are looking for is... hmm... red herring? Maybe? Idk, but its definitely not circular argument. The Ravens have existed for far longer than 20 years, they didn't start as a team 20 years ago, they were the Browns. They brought that team with them, they didn't have to start from scratch. Edited September 22, 2016 by Thanatos
Thanatos 2,847 Posted September 22, 2016 And we're done, lmao. Stats are "useless details." Okay, Skip Bayless.
Cherry 1,302 Posted September 23, 2016 Death, Taxes, and the New England Patriots. Bills still winning division, Phil?
Piggly Wiggly 960 Posted September 23, 2016 week 3 has barely started. Keep your shirt on. The only 2 teams truly worth a shit in the AFC are the Pats and Steelers lol. The Pats have a season long bye to the AFC Championship Game. Sleep walking to January 22nd, 2017 vs. #2 seed Pittsburgh at Gillette Stadium.

blotsfan 2,112 Posted September 23, 2016 When we're 0-4 and coming off of a loss to the Julian Edelman-lead patriots, will you spare me from reading threads full of reasons we suck?
Bay 2,003 Posted September 23, 2016 Patience for a team who hasn't made the playoffs since 1999? The fans are beyond fed up.
Bay 2,003 Posted September 23, 2016 Buffalo has amazing fans who show up no matter how bad they Bills and Sabres are.
Thanatos 2,847 Posted September 23, 2016 if they were actually fed up,they'd stop filling the stadium. but where else can you have public sex and jump into fire while drunk? they need something to do LMAO!!!
blotsfan 2,112 Posted September 23, 2016 I'd say that makes them not too bright. Why should I spend $100 to sit somewhere for 3 hours and watch someone lose? LA fans are the smartest in the world. You shouldnt waste money on entertainment thats not entertaining.
Cherry 1,302 Posted September 24, 2016 That's why they're making the new stadium into a entertainment center deluxe, rather than a football stadium.
oochymp 2,393 Posted November 11, 2016 It's about halfway through the season so time to update the records (I also realized that I hadn't actually voted, saw an old post where I said it would either be Minnesota or Philly, think I would have landed on Minnesota so I went with them) Records at this point for the teams that started 2-0: Ravens: 5-4 Broncos: 6-3 Texans: 5-3 Vikings: 5-3 Patriots: 7-1 Giants: 5-3 Eagles: 4-4 Steelers: 4-4 So at the midpoint none of the eight teams stand below .
oochymp 2,393 Posted December 10, 2016 Updates at the third quarter mark: Records at this point for the teams that started 2-0: Ravens: 7-5 Broncos: 8-4 Texans: 6-6 Vikings: 6-6 Patriots: 10-2 Giants: 8-4 Eagles: 5-7 Steelers: 7-5 well, the Eagles were the most popular choice, and they're the only team under .500 at this point
oochymp 2,393 Posted January 4, 2017 and final records: Ravens: 8-8 Broncos: 9-7 Texans: 9-7 Vikings: 8-8 Patriots: 14-2 Giants: 11-5 Eagles: 7-9 Steelers: 11-5 so only one team landed below .500, interestingly only half of the teams that started 2-0 made the playoffs
