Guys, it was completely obvious from day 1. They DNC has been actively working against most of the ideals that we care about for litterally decades now. Who got rid of The Glass-Steagall Act? Who pushed NAFTA and TPP? Who is responsible for much of the fracking that's going on? Who expanded Bush's wars and made his tax cuts for the rich permanent? The list goes on and on and on and on. They're bought and sold and they have been for years. Now that people are trying to fight for change in the party the fix elections and remove anyone who challenges them from power.

 

I really don't see how anyone could support this party going forward. They're subverting the democratic process to keep the money flowing through the party. This is just sooo fucking wrong. I'm not voting democrat again until Perez and every Clinton democrat is gone from the party. It's Green Party for me now I guess. It makes a lot of sense why Bernie won't run for Senate as a dem.

 

Don't you guys get tired of patting yourselves on the back for being the party of the lesser of two evils?

This is one of the positive aspects of Trump. He has a big mouth and is unintentionally a lot more transparent than Hillary or Mike Pence would be. Trump knows how to rally his base but if there is actually a good alternative running against Trump, virtually ALL the independent voters will go the other way. He's also a pretty ineffective president. Can you imagine how much Pence could get done if Trump were impeached? Paul Ryan would be next in line if Pence got taken down with Trump. That would be catastrophic. Paul Ryan is a true piece of shit. I'm convinced he doesn't even have a soul. We need to use these three years to unify and take this country back. People are getting exposed on both sides. We have a real chance right now more than we have in a long long time.

 

As much as I disagree with Libertarians on economics they have a lot of things right socially and they have the correct ideas on foreign policy. Progressives should form a coalition with these people and try to put an end to the corporate domination of our political system.

I can't throw my full support behind her because she takes donations from some shady cats. She gives me an Obama-like vibe that she says the right things at the right time but doesn't really back much of it up with action. When you take money from the people she takes money from it doesn't come without strings attached.

I've never voted Dem in my life, just to be clear. I will probably vote Dem in 2020 just to get Trump out of office.

Right now it's looking like Kamala Harris is being pushed pretty hard and I think it's a lot more important to have a real opposition to corporate interests than it is to get Trump out of office. We have to draw the line somewhere man. If we keep voting for the lesser of two evils and Dems and Republicans just keep handing each other power where are we going to end up? When do we get change? Honestly, that is kind of the reason I can't vote for Gabbard. She has never really had to get her hands dirty, I'm not saying that she should become a dirty politician. I'm saying though, is that she either has never fought for anything because she doesn't have the nerve, or she doesn't have to sway and to mean that much for people to do unscrupulous things to get her favor. The reason you can say those things about Warren, is because everybody understands she has about a good chance of becoming president as anybody else. They're going to meet her at some point because she's probably the most powerful Democratic candidate at this point.

 

If she ever gets that kind of stroke, she comes out completely clean on the other hand like she has now, I will definitely vote for her. Right now though I'm going to go with somebody who's been fighting the fight for the last 40 years, and even though she's got a little dirt on her hands it's not anything overwhelming. That and I like her because she's also willing to hold them accountable, just like she did to Obama over the trans-pacific partnership. She did not bother walking the party line with all of the other Democrats, she actually stood up for what the American people were saying. I'm not saying she's perfect but right now he's the best candidate I can see on the horizon.

I like Warren too and have for a while but I'm just skeptical. Bernie raised a lot of money without taking money from corporate donors and really his candidacy has accomplished a lot despite falling short of the presidency. All we need to is get people out to the polls. We don't need to compromise with the plutocrats. We have the numbers. We just need to mobilize. If people just vote there is absolutely nothing they can do about it.

So, Bowe Berghdal, a man who deserted the army and got captured, leading to the deaths of soldiers and release of terrorist was sentenced today. He got 0 prison time.

 

Trump has made comments about this, saying he should be killed. The judge takes comments like these into consideration when making a ruling. I don't know if that's why he got off light but t didn't help. All this while trump is calling for the terrorist in New York to be killed. So his law and order is actually a boon to people who hurt the US.
