Favre4Ever+ 4,476 Posted June 22, 2017 “I notified John that we would not be extending his contract beyond the 2017 season, and after consideration, we felt it was in his best interests and the best interests of the team to part ways now,” Chiefs owner Clark Hunt said in a statement.. “This decision, while a difficult one, allows John to pursue other opportunities as we continue our preparations for the upcoming season and the seasons to come. My family and I sincerely appreciate John’s work over the last four-and-a-half years, and we wish him nothing but the best in the future.” https://www.arrowheadpride.com/2017/6/22/15856840/stunner-john-dorsey-chiefs-are-parting-ways What in the actual fuck? Vin+ 3,121 Posted June 23, 2017 Bleacher Report's Jason Cole reports ex-Chiefs GM John Dorsey was "butting heads" with owner Clark Hunt. Per Cole, that's what Dorsey "told a source within the past two months." No reason was given, but USA Today reported earlier Thursday the team believed Dorsey had botched long-term negotiations with Justin Houston and Eric Berry. Dorsey has been an excellent drafter, though coach Andy Reid is an influence in every department of Chiefs personnel. A pair of Reid loyalists are amongst the in-house candidates expected to interview to replace Dorsey. Source: Jason Cole on Twitter
Zack_of_Steel+ 3,014 Posted June 23, 2017 Reid came about well after they were drafting talent.
SteVo+ 3,702 Posted June 23, 2017 As I said in the shoutbox when this news broke: where Andy Reid goes, power struggles will follow. This exact scenario happened in Philadelphia. Reid ended up in a power struggle with the front office (Joe Banner), and Banner ultimately got fired, leaving Reid with enormous power.
BJORN 679 Posted June 23, 2017 When you trade up to take Pat Mahomes in the top 15...... (Can't wait till I am dead wrong)
Vin+ 3,121 Posted July 10, 2017 Life's a Veach Chiefs promoted co-director of player personnel Brett Veach to GM. The move should give Kansas City stability atop the organization after John Dorsey's shocking firing. Veach has an extensive college scouting background and spent the last two seasons as the Chiefs' co-director of player personnel, working closely with Dorsey and Andy Reid. Veach followed Reid from Philadelphia to Kansas City. He was credited with playing a prominent role in drafting both DeSean Jackson and Fletcher Cox with the Eagles. Favre4Ever+ 4,476 Posted July 10, 2017 Ya ever hear when people say that the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over while expecting a different result. That fits Andy so well.
seanbrock 1,684 Posted July 11, 2017 Reid came about well after they were drafting talent. He was handed the keys to one of the best defenses in the league and what has KC's offense accomplished? Not much without Jamaal Charles.

seanbrock 1,684 Posted August 1, 2017 I still think the Chiefs will take the division. That defense with a full year of Justin Houston is the best in the league. They have two defensive player of the year caliber players. This is the beginning of the end though.

seanbrock 1,684 Posted August 1, 2017 Oh yeah, I think the Chiefs will struggle on offense, but all they really need to do is score 17-20 points and they have a damn good chance to win. I think their defense is that good. Hope Derrick Johnson can come back to form. We can ship ya, Mychal Kendricks for a ham sandwich if you need some LB'er help in the middle lol.

Yeah, They haven't had an Offense since DV left town. DJ will be key and we might just pull a trade for MK..lol
