Sparty 110 Posted September 25, 2015 Insidious, 8/10. Pretty good horror movie, nothing incredible but I enjoyed it. A James Wan film is always a great watch.
Sparty 110 Posted September 25, 2015 (edited) Going to see The Green Inferno today. Love me some gore porn for sure. So needless to say, I'm excited. Edited September 25, 2015 by Spartan Havoc
theMileHighGuy 656 Posted September 25, 2015 Pixels - 7/10 - Dunno why this got such a bad rap, I enjoyed it. Lots of funny moments and constant nostalgia barrage. Love me some Josh Gad. San Andreas - 9/10 - Some of the best special effects I've seen in a movie. The situation is entirely plausible too... but all the crazy shit The Rock does is probably not. I love The Rock and Carla Gugino on screen together.
Sparty 110 Posted September 26, 2015 Going to see The Green Inferno today. Love me some gore porn for sure. So needless to say, I'm excited. And it was a good watch (at least to me). Fucking hilarious dialogue and great effects.
oochymp 2,393 Posted September 26, 2015 G.I. Joe: Retaliation, it was a typical ridiculous action movie, definitely entertaining
Vin+ 3,121 Posted September 29, 2015 (edited) This is a really plot-heavy (spoilers?) trailer, so watch at you own risk I guess. This may be the prettiest/well-shot movie of all time. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LoebZZ8K5N0 Edited September 29, 2015 by Vin

theMileHighGuy 656 Posted October 9, 2015 The Martian - 10/10 - One of the best movies I've seen in a long time. It's incredibly fascinating, I feel that I learned a lot of stuff from it. It sciences hard from start to finish. There are a few really funny moments too. Insane cast that includes a lot of my favorite people. Cooties - 5/10 - Weird Elijah Wood movie about kids turning into zombies. Had a couple funny parts, but it was pretty short and the ending isn't very good. Inside Out - 9/10 - Think it's the third time I've seen it. Was instantly one of my favorite Disney/Pixar movies.

BucD+ 648 Posted October 10, 2015 The Martian 10/10 - Probably my favorite movie ever. I love these types of movies and this one just took it above and beyond. As MHG said, " It sciences hard from start to finish." Sicario 9/10 - Blunt, Brolin and Del Toro are fantastic. Pretty intense movie. I saw these two movies back-to-back at the theaters. Easily one of the best times/experiences, movie watching wise, in some time.
butta54 371 Posted October 11, 2015 Mad Max: Fury Road - 5/10 Yeah I have no idea what I just watched. Really not into super weird movies like this. Only could stomach it because of my boy Tom Hardy and all the praise the movie got. I understand visually and the scale of it is an impressive effort, but simply not my cup of tea at all. Favre4Ever+ 4,476 Posted October 14, 2015 The Martian -- WOW. Amazing. I thought the movie would almost drag a little with how serious it is, but it really doesn't. It keeps you involved and interested the entire time. And there was way more moments of comedic relief than I would have ever thought and they work so well. It keeps the movie just a tad lighter, a boost it needs from being just totally depressing most of the time. Matt Damon has had a lot of great performances but that might just be his best ever. Rest of the crew was fantastic as well. Not a single complaint or weakness amongst them -- and that is saying A LOT considering Michael Pena is in it.

Sparty 110 Posted October 14, 2015 Need to check this out. It's a mix of the old stuff and the new stuff. Also, there's an end-credit scene that's pretty neat.

Favre4Ever+ 4,476 Posted October 15, 2015 I went from one amazing eventual Oscar winning film to one.... well... that's not.Saw Pan. I think it was better than most people would give it credit for. It's currently at 25% on RT and it's better than that. But it's just kinda OK. It's not a very fluid narrative, feels kinda crammed together (which is odd considering the 2 hour run time)... And I feel like a lot of good stuff was left on the editing room floor. I liked Levi Miller as Peter, I REALLY liked Garrett Hedlund as Hook. Hugh Jackman on the other hand is atrocious. He and his character were so poorly written and acted that he / his character single handedly bring this movie down several pegs. Even worse, his character dominates the screen. Absolutely terrible."Hook" still reigns supreme.
Vin+ 3,121 Posted October 15, 2015 Isn't Pan a musical too?
Favre4Ever+ 4,476 Posted October 15, 2015 There is a Peter Pan musical. Don't think it's related to this though. Unless you are asking of this is a musical, which it is not. They do have some weird song sequences though (led by none other than Hugh Jackman). I really liked the premise of the movie though. Liked seeing Peter and James form the friendship before their rivalry. It was cool.
SteVo+ 3,702 Posted October 18, 2015 The Martian. It's pretty much a blend of Interstellar and Apollo 13, which are two of my all-time favorites, so naturally I loved it. Those who have already posted about it have nailed it; it "sciences hard from start to finish," as BucD said, and F4E touched on how funny it is. It's also one of the rare movies that, in my opinion, gets better the longer it goes. I didn't think the first 30 minutes were anything special, but it just keeps building and building. I was glued to the screen every second.
