FartWaffles 1,857 Posted April 20, 2011 (edited) With hindsight and more scouting as this mock went on I would probably do things a little differently, but overall I'm pretty satisfied with how my draft turned out. Do you guys think this was a good enough draft for the Texans transition to a 3-4 defense? Grade my draft por favor. 1. Phil Taylor: NT, Baylor 2. Sam Acho: OLB, Texas 3. DeAndre McDaniel: SS, Clemson 3. Deunta Williams: FS, North Carolina 4. Marcus Gilchrist: CB/FS, Clemson 4. Bruce Miller: OLB, Central Florida 5. Lee Ziemba: OT/OG, Auburn 6. Aldrick Robinson: WR, SMU 7. David Carter: DE, UCLA 7. Scott Tolzien: QB, Wisconsin (Basically this is a 2012 sixth round pick) 7. Josh Thomas: CB, Buffalo Edited April 20, 2011 by FartWaffles

FartWaffles 1,857 Posted April 20, 2011 Why the fuck did you take three defensive backs in the mid round you asshole, other people need them more than you do you avaricious cuntstain. Mostly because if I were the Texans GM I would want to send a message to everybody on the secondary that they are not entitled to their roster spot, and they're going to have to earn that spot. Guys like Antwaun Molden, Brice McCain, Dominique Barber, Sherrick McManis, etc. I want to see Wade Phillips work these guys hard against some young guns, and see who really wants it more. FartWaffles 1,857 Posted April 23, 2011 I admit that Bruce Miller may have been a reach, but his draft projection is all over the place. I've heard some analysts saying he could go as high as the fourth round, and others think in the sixth or seventh. One thing's for sure, I really like his motor and think he could contribute as a situational pass rusher on obvious passing downs.

Yeah, I feel like that one could just be chalked up to a bi-product of the two draft boards I was using being among those not liking Miller.
RazorStar 4,025 Posted April 23, 2011 Broncos 2. Marcel Dareus, DT 36. Corey Liuget, DT 47. Martez Wilson, MLB 67. Luke Stocker, TE 205. Ricky Elmore, DE Packers 32. Stefen Wisniewski, OG 64. Jernel Jerrigan, WR 96. Kenrick Ellis, NT 128. Delone Carter, HB 131. Joe Lefeged, SS 163. Ronald Johnson, WR 197. Chykie Brown, CB 204. seanbrock 1,684 Posted April 25, 2011 Broncos 2. Marcel Dareus, DT 36. Corey Liuget, DT 47. Martez Wilson, MLB 67. Luke Stocker, TE 205. Ricky Elmore, DE Not a lot of players for the Bronco's which they really kind of needed a lot of players. What they did get was two DT's that compliment each other perfectly. They have Dareus to plug the run as the nose tackle and Liuget to provide a little disruption in the pass game, but the good thing about Dareus and Liuget is they can both bring both elements. The Bronco's get the best ILB in the whole draft to pair with DJ Williams on the outside. Definitely helps solidify the Bronco's run game and if Wilson is developed well he could be a big team play maker for the Broncos defense as well Luke Stocker was a good solid pass catching TE that will really help a young QB in Tim Tebow. Just could start and really be a key contributor. Good pick The last pick is a pick I really like. Ricky Elmore is a guy who doesn't have elite measurables, but will work his ass off and has a nonstop motor. This guy has a chance to start and be a productive for a few years overall I have to give the Bronco's a b+ because on one hand I loved all their picks but on the other hand they had a ton of holes to fill and they didn't add the picks they needed to. Packers 32. Stefen Wisniewski, OG 64. Jernel Jerrigan, WR 96. Kenrick Ellis, NT 128. Delone Carter, HB 131. Joe Lefeged, SS 163. Ronald Johnson, WR 197. Chykie Brown, CB 204. Kendric Burney, CB Wisniewski can provide an eventual upgrade at either C or LG for the Packers which they could use. Has a good pedigree coming out of the big ten and from PSU who is good for developing offensive linemen as well as LB's. Jernel Jerrigan is just another weapon for the Packers who could be seeing the departure of James Jones via free agency and Donald Driver via retirement very soon so it was a good idea to reload with an explosive playmaker for Rodgers Delone Carter is a stout, physical back that could work well with Grant and Starks. Another pick I liked was Kendric Burney and with some great value. I think the Packers did an excellent job of gaining depth in positions where they need to reload. I give this draft an A-

seanbrock 1,684 Posted May 1, 2011 Bengals 4. Robert Quinn - DE actual draft slot 14 50. Stephen Paea - DT actual draft slot 53 66. Daniel Thomas - RB actual draft slot 62 82. Johnny Moffitt - OG actual draft slot 75 100. Richard Sherman - CB actual draft slot 154 134. Ryan Bartholemew - C actual draft slot undrafted 167. Stephen Burton - WR actual draft slot 236 183. Darius Morris - OG actual draft slot undrafted 207. Jermale Hines - S actual draft slot 158 245. Tyrod Taylor - QB actual draft slot 180 I would say that draft looks pretty good atm. I mean, Quinn didn't fall to 14 because he's no good. Rams 14. Jimmy Smith - CB actual draft slot 27 47. Kyle Rudolph - TE actual draft slot 43 78. Jason Pinkston - OG actual draft slot 150 111. Da'Norris Searcy - S actual draft slot 100 145. Nate Irving - LB actual draft slot 67 180. Taiwan Jones - RB actual draft slot 125 216. Markus White - DE actual draft slot 224 Had a great draft with the Rams. Taking Jimmy Smith looks like a reach here but I think he's going to do really, really well in Baltimore. Favre4Ever+ 4,476 Posted May 1, 2011 (edited) 1.15 - Aldon Smith | 7th OVR to the 49ers 2.61 - Curtis Brown | 95th OVR to the Steelers 3.75 - Clint Boling | 101st OVR to the Bengals 3.88 - Marcus Gilbert | 63rd OVR to the Steelers 4.102 - Ricky Stanzi | 135th OVR to the Chiefs 5.136 - Julius Thomas | 129th OVR to the Broncos 5.146 - Steven Friday | UNDRAFTED 6.171 - Greg Salas | 112th OVR to the Rams 6.186 - Vincent Brown | 82nd OVR to the Chargers 7.248 - Korey Lindsey | 207th OVR to the Bengals I think this is a pretty solid draft. Smith went higher than most of us thought. I think everyone knows that Curtis Brown should have been picked earlier, Pittsburgh got a steal. Boling was a bit of a reach, but I think he is going to be a beast. Decent value on Gilbert. A little early for Stanzi. Broncos traded up to take Julius Thomas, so thats cool. I don't know why Friday went undrafted honestly. He could be a guy to really impress a team as an UDFA. GREAT value on Salas and AMAZING value on Vincent Brown. Good value on Lindsey. Overall, a decent draft. A couple of reaches, and only one guy ended up not getting picked. 1.21 - Gabe Carimi | 29th OVR to the Bears 2.55 - Leonard Hankerson | 79th OVR to the Skins 3.86 - DeMarcus Love | 168th OVR to the Vikings 4.117 - Sione Fua | 97th OVR to the Panthers 5.135 - Tim Barnes | UNDRAFTED 5.140 - Jeremy Beal | 247th OVR to the Broncos 6.189 - Greg McElroy | 208th OVR to the Jets 6.199 - Stevan Ridley | 73rd OVR to the Patriots 7.223 - Chris Rucker | 188th OVR to the Colts Yikes. I might have gotten the steal of the draft in Stevan Ridley, but holy shit. With one selection in the 5th I took an undrafted guy. With the other 5th round pick... Mega reach.
