SteVo+ 3,702 Posted April 24, 2011 (edited) I thought this might be fun. Try to guess which 32 players will become first-round picks on Thursday night. Not quite a mock draft; you only need to name the players. Here's how the scoring works: for each player you name who gets drafted in the first round, you get 1 point. So a perfect score is a 32. However, if you name a player who does not get drafted in the first round, you lose a point. So only name players you are confident will be drafted on day one. Like all the other games, you are free to post and edit your list up until 8:00pm EST Thursday night, when the NFL Draft begins. Right. The strategy comes down to a decision: play it safe with the guys you know for sure will go, go balls to the wall and try to get close to 32, or somewhere in between. If you weren't given -1 for naming a prospect who doesn't go first round, then everybody would list 32 prospects and it would probably be a close race. I think it'll be more interesting this way. Barracuda missed on Da'Quan Bowers, Ryan Mallet, Justin Houston, and Kyle Rudolph; FartWaffles missed on Andy Dalton, Aaron Williams, Da'Quan Bowers, and Akeem Ayers. Bowers is a common denominator so scratch that. Here's how it looks. In Barracuda's corner: Ryan Mallett Justin Houston Kyle Rudolph In FartWaffle's corner: Andy Dalton Aaron Williams Akeem Ayers Now, we have two choices here as far as how to settle this tie. 1) The first player to have all three of his misses come off the board tomorrow night is declared the winner. 2) Sudden death.
