Your team's all-time lineup (NBA)

Recommended Posts

There was these kind of things going on another forum, so I brought it here. Make a lineup for the best players in your franchise history. You can do a 2nd team, 3rd team, etc. if you want. I just went with a first team and second team along with two reserves to make it a 12 man roster.

For the Orlando Magic....

1st team

C-Shaquille O'Neal

PF-Dwight Howard

SF-Tracy McGrady

SG-Penny Hardaway

PG-Scott Skiles

Dwight never played much at the four, but he is too good to not make the first team and Orlando never really had a four deserving of the spot. I decided to slide T-Mac and Penny a bit because Skiles' passing ability was just awesome.

2nd team

C-Horace Grant

PF-Rashard Lewis

SF-Hedo Turkoglu

SG-Nick Anderson

PG-Jameer Nelson

Reserves: Darrell Armstrong, Dennis Scott

Again, Grant wasn't really a center...but there was no other Magic big man other than Shaq/Dwight worth considering. He was the first important FA signing in franchise history and was key in the run to the 1995 NBA Finals.

The Sonics =/= The Thunder, imo, especially seeing as the Kings are seemingly poised to move to Seattle.

In all their years of existence, the Nets have to have had a better center than Lopez lul.

Buck Williams/Derrick Coleman > Kenyon Martin

Well, I'm biased since K-Mart is my favorite Net of all-time.

No one's ever had swagger and attitude like K-Mart. :smug:

1st Team

Center: Wilt Chamberlain- Arguably the greatest Center or player of all time.

Power Forward: Charles Barkley- Definitely an all time great top 5 PF

Small Forward: Julius Erving- He was the guy MJ was compared before 6 rings

Shooting Guard: Hal Greer- Excellent Jump shooter from the old school

Point Guard: Allen Iverson- Good passer but great at attacking the basket

2nd Team

Center: Moses Malone- Greatest offensive rebounder of all time

Power Forward: Darryl Dawkins- He was a Center but he has to make this team

Small Forward: Doug Collins- Was actually a great player before he was a coach

Shooting Guard: Hershey Hawkins- Awesome shooter his whole career. Check the

Point Guard: Maurice Cheeks- He's defensive minded PG who passes first.

#'s

Really like the Sixers here. Having Wilt, Barkley, Malone and Dawkins as your front court options you're pretty much going to dominate the glass. Collins and Erving were strong rebounders too. You have Iverson at guard who could have a field day with such little attention around the rim and he is a capable passer. Cheeks is the perfect backup to Iverson too if he gets shot happy and Greer and Hawkins are knock down shooters that don't need to take many shots. This happens to just have ended up being a really solid team that could play together as a team.
