Notes:

-Unless some young depth really impresses, I can see vet additions replacing Scafe and Baker at DE and RB.

-I can see us trading from our WR depth which would open up a roster spot for another DB or RB.

Notes

— That's 12 rookies, 3-4 of which are almost certainly going to start. Evident of the new regime, and rebuilding effort.

— I could definitely see an OLB picked up after cuts, maybe even a CB (though Gratz, Harris and surprisingly Ball have been impressing in 3 days of camp.)

BTW- If and When, Santonio Holmes(not planning on it) comes back off the PUP list, don’t be surprised if the Jets drop one of the less versatile interior DL, either Harrison or Aumavae. I really can’t see us dropping someone from a skill position. Being the level of talent is so low overall and so unproven that even the bottom of the roster wide out has some value.

Because champ may retire any year, DRC is a one year deal and injuries happen. Cornerback depth isn't a bad thing to have. Say champ does retire and we don't bring back DRC, now we have 2 young corners who have developed in the system to play next to Chris Harris

Depth is one thing. But loading your roster with so many players at one position that keeping them would be a burden to the roster is another. So either Elway wants to carry 6 corners, or he's down on Bolden.

Bolden was maybe one of our top 3 special teamers so even if he never lives up to his billing as a possible top corner on our team he will be a special teams star. He has been looking excellent in camp and will excell in our new defensive scheme so I expect that they are just planning for the future without champ bailey

Fair enough. Even with Champ being old, it's still a lot of corners.

Going to employ a 6 CB sub-package? What is that called, the $5 bill defense?
