RazorStar 4,025 Posted September 11, 2013 So, this is being done again this year. As it is, I keep track of QB's YPA, TD%, INT% and Completion %, compare them to the rest of the league and then assign them a value. The players who are best in those efficiency categories rise to the top, while those who aren't fall to the bottom. This gives you a good idea of who the most efficient QB's in the league, as well as those who are just throwing to pad their stats *cough* Matt Stafford *cough*. In any case, it takes a few weeks before these numbers look halfway accurate, so for now take this 1 game sample size with a grain of salt. If a player qualifies for QB rating or has 100 passing attempts in a season, he'll be on this list. Otherwise he'll be marked out in red. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0ArR2caQsozOOdFJ1bHpiaXhVOVhaeWF4MndvdXpwY1E&usp=sharing 1. Peyton Manning 172t. Colin Kaepernick 202t. .AirMcNair. 1,232 Posted September 12, 2013 (edited) Locker is a better QB than Brady, Roethlisberger, Griffin and Rivers. It's now obviously undeniable fact. Unless I'm missing it, it's not stated in the first post..why are some names bolded? Edited September 12, 2013 by .AirMcNair.
RazorStar 4,025 Posted September 12, 2013 They won their games. The better Qb on this list won 12 of 16 times, with the only exceptions being Brady > Manuel, Romo > Eli (excused by 3 INTs), Cutler > Dalton and Stafford > Ponder (just barely ahead though). Maverick 791 Posted September 12, 2013 1. Peyton Manning 172t. Colin Kaepernick 202t. Andrew Luck 204. Russell Wilson 35 Dem mobile QBs! Always an interesting read, Razor. I'll be looking forward to the progression of this throughout the season. I'll expect to see Antonio Romo roller coaster his way through the spreadsheet. RazorStar 4,025 Posted September 17, 2013 Hopefully these garbage time numbers sort themselves out of RG3 might top out despite losing every game. In any case, I'm going to be presenting the numbers in a tiered list. If a player is is the top third of a category, he'll receive 1 point, and it'll show up highlighted in green in the spreadsheet. If a player is in the bottom third of a category, he'll receive -2 points and it'll show up highlighted red in the spreadsheet. Because being at the bottom is worse than than being at the top is good. These will fairly tier the QB's and help smooth out some anomalous players who dominate in one category but falter in others. If the explanation doesn't make sense, check the spreadsheet for the whole picture. The Elite (4) Peyton Manning Aaron Rodgers Matt Ryan Philip Rivers Super Good (3) Mike Vick Very Good (2) Matt Schaub Top Ten (1) Andrew Luck Erik James Manuel Russell Wilson Andy Dalton Sam Bradford Inconsistent or Unspectacular (0) Jay Cutler Ryan Tannehill Alex Smith Eli Manning Carson Palmer Hit or Miss (-1) Robert Griffin III Drew Brees Matt Stafford Problematic (-2) Tony Romo Cam Newton Dangerous (-3) Chad Henne Colin Kaepernick Jake Locker Awful (-4) Terrelle Pryor Terrible (-5) Christian Ponder Tom Brady Can't get much Worse (-6) Joe Flacco Ben Roethlisberger Josh Freeman Geno Smith Derek Anderson Tier (-8) Brandon Weeden Blaine Gabbert

Omerta+ 1,206 Posted September 18, 2013 Well the Ravens lead the league in drops by like 7 or 8 already...so yeah...... our receivers outside torrey kinda suck balls right now. That said there is reason to hope.....I think. I really do think Flacco is playing well this year other than that dufus throw across his body right to the denver defender. RazorStar 4,025 Posted September 18, 2013 I wanted to check the validity of that statement and... well surprisingly enough the Ravens aren't leading the league in drops. It's actually the Redskins with 10 so far. The Broncos and Lions are tied for second with 9 drops, and the Ravens are tied for 9th with a measly 6.
RazorStar 4,025 Posted September 24, 2013 Week three down, and when you look at the top of each category, there is one player standing alone. The Regular Season Superstar, Peyton Manning is number 1 all across the board. Makes it hard for any other player to compete. Here is how the tiers shakes down after week three's offensive explosion, along with a rank for how they score on each combined category. The Elite (4) 1. Peyton Manning 2. Philip Rivers Super Good (3) 3t. Aaron Rodgers 3t. Tony Romo 6. Matt Ryan Very Good (2) 5. Russell Wilson 7t. Ryan Tannehill 7t. Jay Cutler 9t. Matt Stafford Top Ten (1) 9t. Andy Dalton 14t. RazorStar 4,025 Posted September 24, 2013 It's just how they rank if you combine each category weighted equally. 1 point for the best completion percentage, 33 for the worst. The lowest score is ranked number 1, the highest score is dead last.

RazorStar 4,025 Posted October 1, 2013 (edited) Can you ball with the best of them? No? Then you better jam with the rest of them. RazorStar 4,025 Posted October 8, 2013 (edited) Week 5 is in the books! We've had some QB changes, and players coming off suspensions, but one thing stays the same. Bad QB's are gonna be bad, and Tony Romo is gonna choke when the team needs him. Also Peyton threw his first INT, so he's no longer top dog in every category. The Elite (4) 1. Peyton Manning2. RazorStar 4,025 Posted October 8, 2013 Doesn't qualify yet. Once he gets to 100 pass attempts, he'll be on the list, and I assume it'll happen this year.
CampinWithaMissingPerson 2,025 Posted October 8, 2013 That was the best I've ever seen Terrelle Pryor passing the ball. College or pros. I was shocked and impressed the whole time. Let's see if he can put games together without having peaks and valleys.
