BLUE 1,026 Posted September 14, 2014 Per Rotoworld.com: Robert Griffin III left Sunday's game against the Jaguars in the first quarter with a left ankle injury and will not return. This one did not look good. Griffin was scrambling toward the sideline when he went down like a ton of bricks without getting touched by a defender. He was in a ton of pain and stayed down on sideline for a long time while being examined by Dr. James Andrews. Kirk Cousins came on and promptly through a 20-yard touchdown on his first attempt. The only sliver of good news is that the injury is not to the right ACL he tore in January of 2013. Sep 14 - 1:24 PM
BLUE 1,026 Posted September 14, 2014 Per Rotoworld.com: The Redskins fear that Robert Griffin III suffered a dislocated left ankle in Sunday's Week 2 game against the Jaguars. It would be a potentially season-ending injury. RG3, who suffered the injury on a non-contact play near the sideline in the first quarter, will have further tests to confirm. Kirk Cousins has come on and shined in relief as the Redskins are battering the Jags. Sep 14 - 2:55 PM Source: Ian Rapoport on Twitter
seanbrock 1,684 Posted September 14, 2014 Wow, How big a deal is this? Wow, if Cousins plays well for 15 games the Job has to be his right?
Vin+ 3,121 Posted September 14, 2014 The Redskins confirmed that Robert Griffin III suffered a dislocated left ankle in Sunday's Week 2 win over the Jaguars. The Redskins declined to provide a timetable, but it's not good. If RG3 has to go under the knife, his season will be in jeopardy. Meanwhile, Kirk Cousins came on in relief and shined by going 22-of-33 for 250 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions as the Redskins won 41-10. funnygunny 521 Posted September 15, 2014 There's extending the play through scrambling, then there's what RG3 does. He's just dumb lol

Favre4Ever+ 4,476 Posted September 15, 2014 He didn't even get hit though.. Dude just landed on it and broke himself right in half... I wouldn't say so much dumb as it is ridiculous. Feel bad for the guy, because he's a good kid who had such a young and promising career. Even listening to him after the game, he has a great head on his shoulders.Such a shame... Such a shame. BLUE 1,026 Posted September 15, 2014 Per Rotoworld.com: The Redskins currently hope Robert Griffin III (ankle) will only miss 4-5 weeks. Griffin suffered a dislocated ankle in the first quarter of Sunday's win over the Jaguars. He'll have an MRI on Monday to determine whether surgery is necessary and exactly how long he'll be out. Kirk Cousins, who shredded the Jags for 250 yards and two touchdowns in relief Sunday, will be a QB2 against the Eagles in Week 3. funnygunny 521 Posted September 15, 2014 I haven't seen the play, bit if it was non-contact, how can it be dumb? The way he plays is arrogant. Young QBs such as himself don't know when to give up on a play. Take the sack, move onto the next play. Stop dancing in the backfield trying to make something out of nothing and then get injured. Sure it works sometimes, but if you're a glass cannon, maybe you shouldn't doing stupid shit like that
oochymp 2,393 Posted September 15, 2014 this is the best version of this image I could find, but if you look closely at that left ankle, it's one of the most cringe-worthy injury images I've seen in a while
Barracuda 629 Posted September 15, 2014 (edited) Once again, thank you Redskins for trading ahead of us to get this guy. Edited September 15, 2014 by Barracuda
BwareDWare94 723 Posted September 15, 2014 Anybody thinking that Washington playing surface had something to do with it? It's almost as bad as Soldier Field.
Vin+ 3,121 Posted October 13, 2014 Redskins coach Jay Gruden expects Robert Griffin III (ankle) to resume individual drills next week. Gruden even left open the possibility that RGIII could get a few team reps. With Kirk Cousins playing extremely up-and-down football in RGIII's absence, the Redskins aren't going to stagger his return. The absolute earliest Griffin is likely to come back is Week 9, but he'll probably remain sidelined through Washington's Week 10 bye. Source: John Keim on Twitter The Redskins "still aren't sure" when Robert Griffin III will return from his dislocated ankle. It isn't as if the Skins have a timetable but aren't revealing it. They genuinely don't know when RG3 will be back. "As far as taking practice reps, that will be at least another week," coach Jay Gruden said Monday. "[Wednesday] will be the first step and next week maybe we’ll try to get him in practice situations and see where he is." Griffin will perform some individual drills this week. He won't begin team reps until before Week 8 at the soonest. Source: ESPN.com
seanbrock 1,684 Posted October 13, 2014 The Redskins better make sure they don't rush him back on the field again before he's ready. They need to do everything they can to make sure he gets back on track to where he was his rookie year. He's never not going to run, but if he could pick his spots more like Rodgers does maybe he could stay healthy. They should just IR him and maybe see if he can add some weight to his frame. BLUE 1,026 Posted October 15, 2014 Per Rotoworld.com: Coach Jay Gruden confirmed Robert Griffin III (ankle) will be the Redskins' starting quarterback once he's cleared and "ready physically and mentally." Gruden said that could happen in one week, or it could be five weeks. But it's clear at the moment RGIII is going to get the starts under center in Washington once healthy. Kirk Cousins has "led" the Redskins to four consecutive losses, but there's always a chance he could catch fire and force Gruden to keep him in the lineup. The chances of that happening are minimal, as Cousins is a turnover machine and has never shown the ability to win games at the NFL level. There remains a chance Griffin could be back before the Week 10 bye. Oct 15 - 3:23 PM Source: Mike Jones on Twitter
BLUE 1,026 Posted October 29, 2014 Per Rotoworld.com: NBC Washington's Dianna Marie Russini reports Robert Griffin III (ankle) will start Week 9 against the Vikings. Russini has had some good info nuggets and been first on all-things Redskins multiple times this season. RGIII practiced in full on Wednesday, with multiple teammates saying he looked like his old self. But coach Jay Gruden has continued to say they won't rush RGIII back until he's 100 percent healthy and ready. That time appears to be now. Colt McCoy can ride high on his Monday night win over the Cowboys for the next few months. Gruden should name a starter Thursday or Friday. Signs continue to point to it being RGIII.
