Dutch 874 Posted February 28, 2015 (edited) It's the offseason so here we go: 1. Aaron Rodgers - Rodgers is the undisputed best QB in the league. The level he is playing at is astronomical. No one on the planet can do what this guy does. 2. :Patriots: Tom Brady 3. Andrew Luck 4. Ben Roethlisberger 5. Peyton Manning 6. Drew Brees 7. Tony Romo 8. Philip Rivers 9. Matt Ryan 10. Joe Flacco Edit: Removed Wilson for Flacco. Edited March 1, 2015 by Dutch

Dutch 874 Posted February 28, 2015 The Peyton hate on this forum is contagious and slightly influential having had to fight it off myself, but I'd like to hear why Peyton isn't a top 10 QB over Teddy Bridgewater
Cherry 1,302 Posted February 28, 2015 The Peyton hate on this forum is contagious and slightly influential having had to fight it off myself, but I'd like to hear why Peyton isn't a top 10 QB over Teddy Bridgewater Peyton lacks the ability to make some of the easiest throws consistently. I'm not normally on the hate-wagon for Peyton, but he looked like absolute shit the second half of the year. I'll take Bridgewater, a guy who can hit throws all over the field and is rapidly developing, over Peyton any day. Peyton may be an X's & O's genius, but I can't see him throw a spiral 20 yards anymore with consistency. Bridgewater is pretty much the only guy worthy of the #10 spot I guess. Peyton probably on the outskirts with some of the average QB's. NFL is really weak right now for QB's anyways.
Cherry 1,302 Posted February 28, 2015 List was a little bit off. Let me fix it. 1. Jameis Winston 2. Robert Griffin III 3. Michael Vick 4. Josh McCown 5. Matt Hasselbeck 6. Colin Kaepernick 7. Brandon Weeden 8. Geno Smith 9. Jerry Lovelocke 10. Teddy Bridgewater
Dutch 874 Posted February 28, 2015 I don't know if I'm being trolled or not... But Peyton being an average QB?? Amongst the likes of Andy Dalton, Alex Smith and company?
Cherry 1,302 Posted February 28, 2015 (edited) I don't know if I'm being trolled or not... But Peyton being an average QB?? Amongst the likes of Andy Dalton, Alex Smith and company? He's better than those guys obviously. Father Time beats everyone though. Major drop-off from top 10 + a few (Peyton at 11 or 12) to the rest of the league. BwareDWare94 723 Posted February 28, 2015 (edited) 1. Aaron Rodgers 2. Tom Brady 3. Ben Roethlisberger 4. Peyton Manning 5. Tony Romo 6. Drew Brees 7. Philip Rivers 8. Andrew Luck 9. Joe Flacco/Matt Ryan 10. Russell Wilson Peyton's deteriorating skills are dropping him down the list at an alarming rate. He was 1 or 2 last year, now he's 4 and Romo, Rivers, and Luck and breathing down his neck. Drew Brees is free-falling, too. 2014 was not good to him.I hate to put Joe Flacco in the top 10 but Matt Ryan doesn't belong either so I put them ahead of Russell Wilson, who really doesn't belong, either, but a shitstorm would have ensued. The drop off after the top 8 quarterbacks in this league is drastic and sharp. It's crazy. Edited February 28, 2015 by BwareDWare94
BJORN 679 Posted February 28, 2015 Peyton was clearly playing injured in the later parts of the season. I find it hard to knock him down for that.
BwareDWare94 723 Posted February 28, 2015 Peyton was clearly playing injured in the later parts of the season. I find it hard to knock him down for that. He's clearly deteriorating, too. I still put him at 4, and Aaron, Brady, and Ben are all clearly better than Peyton Manning.
Bay 2,003 Posted February 28, 2015 (edited) Matt Ryan is a top 10 QB despite playoff struggles. Maybe it's by default, though that shouldn't matter. I'd take the guy on my team especially with the loser we have now. Edited February 28, 2015 by Bay
BwareDWare94 723 Posted February 28, 2015 Matt Ryan is a top 10 QB despite playoff struggles. I should rephrase my statement--I consider Top 10 QBs at the level of the top 8 QBs in my list, and therefore it strikes that when you factor in the 10 best QBs in the league, the quarterbacks at the 9 position and on are so far behind quarterbacks 1-8 that, in my mind, I don't consider them Top 10 QBs even though they technically are among the 10 best QBs in the league. They simply don't stack up against the best 8 QBs in the league, so they don't seem to belong in the same class.
Bay 2,003 Posted February 28, 2015 (edited) I see not one Cam Newton mention. Thanatos? Bware no one is on Aaron's level so what. You can have 3 or 4 tiers in the top 10 guys. Edited February 28, 2015 by Bay
BJORN 679 Posted February 28, 2015 He's clearly deteriorating, too. I still put him at 4, and Aaron, Brady, and Ben are all clearly better than Peyton Manning. I'm not entirely sure what my top 10 will look like but Brees will be ahead of Peyton for reference.

ATL_Predator+ 1,196 Posted February 28, 2015 We've had this argument over the years...I've showed you the numbers...and Matt Ryan is clearly a better QB than Romo. Not even gonna get involved in this one lol. BUT. Andrew Luck makes things work with a lot less on a Colts team that is overall poorer than Dallas'. Luck has no run game, a mediocre offensive line, and a joke of a defense, but honestly he makes every throw and some nice plays with his legs without turning the ball over too much. BwareDWare94 723 Posted February 28, 2015 lol at Matt Ryan being "clearly better" than Tony Romo. That's just fucking absurd. I can understand placing Luck ahead of him, but I choose not to due to Luck's turnover issues.
