Trump Regime thread.

They're doing the same thing to Bernie. Bringing up these harassment stories (again) at the same exact time Democrats are beginning to test the waters and announce their candidacy. Totally a coincidence, I am sure... lmao

Bernie Sanders is more public enemy number 1 for corporate Dems than Trump. If Trump wins, it will be a big boon for a lot of Democrats in terms of fundraising. Sanders is a big time threat to their gravy train of bribes. Make no mistake, most elected Democrats would rather lose the White House to Trump again than to win with Bernie Sanders or anyone like him leading the party and they will stop at nothing to cheat them.

This is why millennials and just actual liberals shouldn't try to bargain with or appease the corporate Democrats. We need to destroy them by any means necessary.

Apparently the Koch’s won’t be helping re-elect Trump. They’ve been informing their donors .

That prolly means we'll probably be getting  either Harris, Biden or Clinton. I really hope Democrats turn out big time for Gabbard or Sanders (if he runs). The DNC is going to try and rig it but it'll be a lot harder if people turn out to vote. Trump is terrible but an establishment Democrat is still heading in the wrong direction, just slower. We've reached the point where these fuckers are supporting fracking and modern slavery. Half of them don't believe in Universal healthcare. Idk, I wish people could see how supporting current Dem leadership is just cutting off everything you want policy wise at the pass.

The DNC is certain to choose the worst possible candidate to represent them, so just prepare for another 4 years of Trump.

I'll take it a step further and say the DNC will actively try to cheat/sabotage anyone that isn't on the take and would actually be good for the country.

I'm certainly not ruling that out, but short of them putting Hillary up again, I really don't see how a Dem can lose at this point.

If I was making betting odds I would have 1. Harris 2. Biden 3. Clinton 4. Warren 5. And a distant 5 Sanders and the Tulsi in 6th. Things can change but as far as who the money and/or machinery would be behind I think that's probably where we're at.

I think best case scenario is we get a big primary turnout from activism and Grass Roots movements and just force their hand. That's really what it comes down to. If people take a stand against the corporate capture of our government starting at the primary level then 2020 could a massive victory but it has to start from within. If not it's only going to be a matter of time before the next Trump and he might be worse.

Apparently we are getting closer to a deal with the Taliban to remove forces from Afghanistan..... while John Bolton is plotting an invasion of Venezuela . Why do we love war so much? We just can't help ourselves.

Maduro isn't going to play a game he can't win. I wouldn't worry.

He should have just said look. I'm from Virginia. It was in the 80's. I've grown up and changed a lot since then and I'm really embarrassed about this but it it isn't who I am today. It's clear that the guy is a liar and a coward at this point. It's really a non story and it's shameful to see a lot of these guys who probably did the same shit call for him to resign. I just wish people would wake up and realise that this is what the policitcal class is and in a lot of cases it's a lot worse. Just because they're registered Democrat doesn't mean shit. Don't get me wrong we have some people from different backgrounds in government but a lot of it is this guy on both sides of the aisle and it's so fucking disgusting.

The US has some of the worst leadership in the world. People question the legitimacy of not just the presidential election but elections at all levels of government across the country. There's a massive issue of corruption that I think everyone would agree to on some extent. Does another country have a right to invade us or foment a coup inside our country? Isn't it up to us to choose our leadership for better or for worse since we're a socreign nation?

The US has some of the worst leadership in the world? I mean with Trump maybe not before then. Going way too far there, bud.

So why isn't US leadership some of the worst in the world? Can we agree that most of our leadership is bought and paid for, especially the people with any significant power? Can we agree that our elections are corrupted in MANY ways? Can we agree that our leadership causes more death around the world than any other country BY FAR? Does our leadership even really represent us regular people AT ALL? Most people regardless of  party affiliation are against war. Pretty sure ngata is the only guy here with more than a Milly in the bank.

This is a very important issue you won't see covered on TV but our world is rapidly changing as we advance technologically. We can't sit by and let the power of information/intelligence be consolidated and leveraged against workers.

Israel is losing its grip on the minds of the American people. It's getting to the point where they can't hide how evil that government is. Being ani-zionist does not mean you hate Jews. Some of the most outspoken critics of Zionism are Jewish. I wish should would have stood her ground more but I'm sure it's not easy to make that stand so I applaud her none the less.

Elections have consequences. The SC just refused to allow a Muslim man to be read his last rights by an Imam, on the grounds, so they say, that he waited too long. His request for an Imam was denied on January the 23rd and he filed his appeal on January the 28th. On February the 7th, 10 full days later, the SC vacated the stay and the man was executed. Alabama couldn't find an Imam in 10 days? No, they refused to find one. It is codified into law that they must give a prisoner a priest or pastor to give them their last rights, and so they are preferring one religion over another here. Kagan destroys the majority in her dissent (was 5-4 along ideological lines).

Do not get me wrong- what he did was horrible. But the idea that a man is not allowed to be read his last rights whatever religion he may be, is just abhorrent to me.

Maybe I am terrible for this. But I have to admit I care a lot less about his rights as a rapist and murderer of children.

Not saying he doesn't deserve what he asked, just my personal opinion.

Also, the dissent says the prison should've trained the Imam in execution protocol and such... Again, not saying he shouldn't have got it... but going that extra mile to accommodate him, meh. It's just really hard to care (and for the like 12th time in this small post, not saying that's right.. )

EDIT:
Also, I don't think Kagan "destroys" the majority. The dissent was well written and put forth some valid thoughts, but in the end... She did agree that the majority's concern about security was legit... Which led to her saying the prison should've trained the Imam in execution protocol. I don't think " we agree, but not really" comes across as "destroy"-ing the majority decision.

I won't be coerced into voting for second worst. Look at California. Should be a liberal paradise because it's been Democrat run for decades. Instead they have the worst homeless CRISIS in the country. They let the banks do whatever they want so now regular people can't afford to live  there increasingly. They're the leading states on fracking and they're on a fucking fault line lol. They also think it's cool to use slave labor to fight the wildfires. Look at the record of Pelosi, Harris, Feinstein and Brown. If you think putting people like that in office is the answer man idk what to say. We have to draw a line.

We need a political revolution, not a return to the status quoe that is destroying our country.

Its a clear case of valuing one religion over another. Bama would have been fine with a Christian pastor- there have even been multiple cases where they took a specific person that the inmate wanted and trained them in the protocol. Though I agree the man is a horrible person, everyone should be able to be read their last rites if they want to. Maybe the fact that I am against the death penalty in all forms colors my thinking here, idk.

Their reasoning is also bullshit, they state he waited too late, and act like he should have challenged it in November, but in november, he had no reason to believe he would be denied an Imam per the statute in question.

Kagan accuses them of violating the establishment clause, idk if you've read much of Kagan's writings, but that's about as fiery as she gets.

Donald Harris might have just killed his daughter's campaign. This is beautiful. Might be a two horse race between Biden and Hillary now. How long will it take for her campaign and the donor class to paint him as a crazy person and discredit him?

I feel like every time I read descriptions or even her wiki page, she sounds good/decent. But almost every time she speaks or I see a quote, I end up cringing at some point.
