BJORN 679 Posted October 9, 2013 Been playing GTA5 on PS3. I'm a little more than 50% through the storyline. I know I sound like a broken record, but this game is awesome! I'm addicted to the online. I actually think the racing is better than some dedicated racing games. All people do is wreck you. Basically you want to be the last person or way ahead when you go around turns. Also, what do you think of the MX4? I like it in close quarters, but even on semi-auto it's atrocious at range. You have to be at full auto and waste 90% of your clip to outgun someome with that. Sniping is really fun... EDIT: I just did my own math and added up my stats and I have a 1.90 K/D. I'd say I'm just about on your level. Vin+ 3,121 Posted October 12, 2013 Finished Metal Gear Rising and Asura's Wrath today. Kinda hope there's a sequel to MGR. Kojima probably won't allow it, but with some more time and polish, the next game could really be something. Asura's Wrath is...interesting. The gameplay is really formulaic (Beat stuff up to fill up a bar, push a button. Do this over and over again.) and lacking in a certain something that could make it really fun to play, but the story is pretty interesting (even if the way they have everything set up is pretty awful. Think of an episode of a cartoon: opening/closing credits, and a preview of the next episode at the end of each episode. Really annoying and not a good design choice.) But there are some pretty cool moments, especially once you get into part II of the story. I'd say it's worth a look if you can find it for cheap. The game itself online and team vs. team is on par with the rest of the games with a few fixes, and the usual questionable shots, etc. Defending 1 on 1 in most game modes outside of mycareer is actually realistic. Especially on Hall of Fame difficulty. The online play is pretty good. It's the Mycareer mode that causes this game to be the worst game in the history of gaming. On Offense: The AI is actually stupider now then last year's, far more incredibly stupid. Mid range jump shooting is impossible and that's with a 99 mid range and being wide open 99% of the time, three point shooting is almost as hard regardless of how high your attribute level is. If your ball security and handles aren't at least 90, you lose the ball every time you get inside the three point line. EVERY CPU player is a defensive specialist, and the big men can run stride for with me (5'9" 205 PG). Passing went from too easy to impossibly hard. Defensively you will literally be with a guy, stride for stride, and then out of nowhere, they will just blow right past you to the lane and score. Overall it's just too frustrating. I was enjoying the game until I played Mycareer, which is what I'd be doing a majority of the time had I bought it anyway. The game is trash, and not worth the 60 dollars and change it costs. I want ACW-R... and sniping really is fun I'm really trying to push for the Carbines, but I'm just having so much trouble pushing forward with nothing but the MX4. It's a crawl, and I can never find a rhythm with it. On the other hand, I'm pretty good with the Type 88 with controlled bursts and especially good with the AK-12 on burst. I think the AK-12 is superior to the SCAR-H in almost every way, save damage. I'm still waiting to see if they put up Obliteration, but it looks like that may be PC-exclusive - similar to how Caspian Border was PC-exclusive in BF3 beta. I didn't really like it but then again I only tried my friend's game on the computer. EDIT- I will just say it seems to me like one of those games where once you get going you can't stop. I don't like those games. I'm a big fan of games where I can play for 20-30 minutes, and then go to class or something. It's a real time consumer from what I've heard. He liked it though. He liked it so much he failed out of all his classes cuz all he did was play that game. I thought about trying it now that it's on Xbox, but I've got other games now. Got around to trying GTAV this past weekend. Friend came over, and we got baked and played the game and it was nice time. Started trying online mode yesterday and it's a hell of a time. Still only level 6 and trying to figure things out but a lot of my friends have it and are higher levels who are helping me along. Even though COD Ghosts just looks like a standard call of duty remake thing, like the past 3.. I'll probably end up getting it. Mostly because a lot of my friends get it and it's too much fun playing with them (whatever the game is) to not get it. Hopefully I'm wrong and it's a surprising refresher from the last few call of duties. I loved COD4 and WaW, and MW2 in its hay-day, Black Ops I hated, MW3 was okay, and BO2 was in between BO1 and MW3. So hopefully this is in between MW3 and MW2. At the very least. I saw a trailer for it and I really like the idea of the new survival mode. You can now play against other squads of players instead of just computer players. Favre4Ever+ 4,476 Posted October 16, 2013 You don't replay Diablo for the story.. Nobody does. The first play though is about the story, mainly.. And I thought it was fine. Not spectacular, I suppose... But it doesn't hinder the experience at all. End game is about (as said by others) grinding for experience, gear, and in-game currency. Being that Diablo is not this open world game with real-time events or what have you... Grinding is all about going through the SAME EXACT STORY, no joke, 10+ times. It gets very very tedious, there is no doubt about it. But there is enough fun to be had, to make it worth buying, IMO. And the expansion coming out looks pretty sweet. If it's for updating or something, fine; if it's because they can never maintain their shittastic servers for more than a day, then I'm going to be fucking pissed. I couldn't play BF3 today at all. EDIT: I forgot to mention that because I couldn't connect to EA servers, I couldn't play the BF4 Beta. This is before it was over, too. So salty.
