BwareDWare94 723 Posted September 16, 2014 (edited) Spartan Havoc scored a nice week 2 with 6 points, correctly predicting Chargers over Seahawks and Rams over Bucs. Current Standings: Spartan Havoc 8 Razor 6 Zack 5 Bucman 4 Bware 4 Vin 2 blots 2 GA 2 Rain Man 0 Bay -2 Chernobyl -4 Packers Dynasty -5 My week 3 upsets: Giants over Texans: The Giants played Arizona very very hard, and while it's shameful to lose to Drew Stanton, it's even more shameful to lose to Ryan Fitzpatrick, considering his tendency to turn the ball over. I think the Giants pull of their first win of the season at home, behind interceptions from their revamped secondary, even without Walter Thurmond. Titans over Bengals: Without AJ Green, Dalton struggles against that Tennessee secondary. Edited September 17, 2014 by BwareDWare94
GA_Eagle 595 Posted September 16, 2014 how do the points work, Bware? some games worth more than others, right? That makes sense, just making sure I'm seeing it right.

BwareDWare94 723 Posted September 16, 2014 how do the points work, Bware? some games worth more than others, right? That makes sense, just making sure I'm seeing it right. Each correct upset prediction is worth 3 points. Incorrect picks start at -1 point, but are multiplied by two as they amount, so 2 wrong picks is -2 points, three wrong picks is -4 points, etc. Each poster can make between 1 and 4 predictions, scoring 12 points total or losing -8 points, at most. I figured having the varying number would allow posters who fall behind to try and recover, or continue to fall back. I thought we could get a laugh out of those of us who fall deep in the hole. As we go deeper into the season, I may add a bottom feeder upset option, and lay out certain games that would be absurdly huge upsets. Think Jags over Broncos territory. I might make those worth 5 points, or something larger than 3, anyway. Also, I'm going to double-check my scoring for each poster, so far, to make sure I'm doing it right. I found some errors in week 1, so later tonight, when I have more time, I'm going to tally it up again.

I should be at -2 Bware. Had Atlanta and Detroit. Fixed. Lastly, Zack has picked NYG over Houston, Tennessee over Cincy, and Cleveland over Baltimore as his upsets. Zack, if you feel a fourth game should be considered an upset, just let me know.
Zack_of_Steel+ 3,014 Posted September 17, 2014 tbh I have no idea what are upsets and what aren't, so I'm just going to continue posting my picks and see where it takes me. As long as you're down with deciding the upsets picks, that is.
