It's too risky not to, as I've had back issues from awkward falls in the past. 2. I prefer pitch dark whenever possible. I will hang a dark blanket over my window if necessary. 3. The room has to be cool, or at least the air around the bed, or I will wake up in a pool of sweat and I hate that. 4. I run a fan year round, mostly to keep the room cool and to block out house sounds and people talking, walking, etc. 5. I've only dated one girl who didn't hate that I like the room cool, and unfortunately that was a distance trial and didn't work. Guess I'll have to keep looking! What about you? RazorStar 4,025 Posted May 26, 2015 1. I sleep on my side, if I sleep on my back I'm like a turtle and I can never get up. 2. I can sleep in any environs, as long as I'm tired. I prefer to leave my blinds open, and lights off though. 3. I like the room at room temperature. Cooler is preferable to warmer. That's what blankets are for, 4. I have the gentle buzz of all the electronics in my room to make white noise. 5. Significant others? Ha ha ha ha.
Cherry 1,302 Posted May 26, 2015 (edited) Side with one arm tucked under pillow. Minor light from hallway. Cool. Fan is always on to keep PS4 cool. Not a necessity. I'm 12. Edited May 26, 2015 by Chernobyl426
ATL_Predator+ 1,196 Posted May 26, 2015 1. How do you best sleep at night? On your back? Side? Stomach? I sleep on my side or stomach...I literally can't sleep on my back. 2. Do you prefer some light, full light, or pitch darkness? Full Darkness. Any other way I tend to not sleep well. 3. Do you like the room warm or cool? Needs to be cool. If it's hot...well that's just not gonna fly. 4. Do you run a fan or anything else for white noise? Always have the fan running, have always slept with one, always will. 5. What do significant others find frustrating about your sleep habits? Apparently I throw bows in my sleep...I can't help it. My body just happens to become violent in my sleep lol
Vin+ 3,121 Posted May 26, 2015 (edited) Cherry stole my answers to #1 and #5. 1. How do you best sleep at night? On your back? Side? Stomach? Side, with arm extended straight out underneath the pillow. Can't sleep on my back, unless it's a nap and my head is turned at a 90* angle. Same with sleeping on my stomach. 2. Do you prefer some light, full light, or pitch darkness? Darker the better, though it doesn't matter as much now.. Having light used to make it difficult to sleep but apparently I've gotten used to it to the point that it doesn't bother me as much. 3. Do you like the room warm or cool? More to the cool side, but it really doesn't matter. I can sleep in anything. 4. Do you run a fan or anything else for white noise? No. Used to not be able to sleep with noise, but as with light, I have acquired the ability as I've gotten older. 5. What do significant others find frustrating about your sleep habits? What is this? I don't even. Edited May 26, 2015 by Vin
CampinWithaMissingPerson 2,025 Posted May 26, 2015 1. How do you best sleep at night? On your back? Side? Stomach? Side. Fetal position. I used to sleep on my back as a kid, but can't do that anymore.2. Do you prefer some light, full light, or pitch darkness? Dark. Only time I can sleep in full light is when I'm just dead tired or super drunk. 3. Do you like the room warm or cool? Cool. Sleeping in a warm room is the worst. 4. Do you run a fan or anything else for white noise? Yeah a fan. Not for the white noise, but the moving air. 5. What do significant others find frustrating about your sleep habits? The farts. Favre4Ever+ 4,476 Posted May 26, 2015 (edited) 1. How do you best sleep at night? On your back? Side? Stomach? I can and do sleep any which way. Like Sarge, I kinda toss and turn a lot. I frequently wake up throughout the night multiple times (only like a half-awake kind of state) and I will be in a variety of weird and odd positions. However, when I am (trying to) fall asleep, I can only do so on my side. 2. Do you prefer some light, full light, or pitch darkness? I like some very dim light. In general I am a creature of the darkness.. My apartment very rarely has the overhead /ceiling lights on with an exception for the bathroom. A few floor and table lamps is all I really use for light. My desk lamp is on literally 24/7/365. I run it until the filament in the lightbulb explodes and then I just swap it out and keep on truckin. 3. Do you like the room warm or cool?As close to an Arctic temperature as possible. There is nothing better than going into bed and your face hitting a cold pillow. And then burrowing under a heap of blankets is always fun too. I have frozen over my AC coil multiple times because I like it so cold. 4. Do you run a fan or anything else for white noise?Run a fan every night and also have a radio most nights. I don't really feel like I need them, butit helps kinda ease my mind -- which is always the hardest part of sleeping for me. When I just lay there trying to sleep, my brain races and causes me all sorts of trouble. I recently bought a radio that has a bunch of different nature sounds (Rushing water, thunderstorms, etc) and what not as options and they work great 5. What do significant others find frustrating about your sleep habits? Like the spoon, there is no question 5. Edited May 26, 2015 by Favre4Ever
Cherry 1,302 Posted May 27, 2015 Just took a nap on my back. Vin, are you me? I tuck my arm at an L angle, not a straight out extension BTW. White noise I just realized I usually play Pandora comedy but I do fine without.

BJORN 679 Posted May 27, 2015 Prefer to sleep naked; I HATE sleeping in pajamas prefer to sleep on my side usually but I do it all. Sometimes I'll sleep on my back purely for posture reasons. No lights needed Temperature = seasonal...cold in the summer, warm in the winter Noise doesn't matter, sometimes ill turn the tv on if I can't stop thinking about stuff
Bangy 19 Posted May 27, 2015 1. How do you best sleep at night? On your back? Side? Stomach? Generally on my back but comfortable on side or front. 2. Do you prefer some light, full light, or pitch darkness? I darkness when I go to sleep but I'm a morning person so I like to wake up on sunny days with light coming through the windows. 3. Do you like the room warm or cool? Generally cool, where I have a slightly lower body temp and normal I seem to retain heat well. 4. Do you run a fan or anything else for white noise? Nah I am usually lights out within about 5-10 minutes of my head hitting the pillow5. What do significant others find frustrating about your sleep habits? Due having both Asthma and Hay Fever I snore like a bitch in the summer because I can't breathe through my nose. So my so my GF buys nasal strips for me to wear at night. I also randomly talk shit in my sleep too.

Maverick 791 Posted May 27, 2015 1. How do you best sleep at night? On your back? Side? Stomach? I like to sleep on my stomach. Head is usually buried in the pillow with my arms wrapped underneath it on the sides. I use to only be able to fall asleep on my stomach, but recently I've been falling asleep on my side and back every now and then. 2. Do you prefer some light, full light, or pitch darkness? I prefer dark. I don't close my door all the way so some light peaks in from the hallway night light, but aside from that it's pretty dark in my room. 3. Do you like the room warm or cool? Cool. I don't care if it's really cold as long as I have blankets to keep me from freezing. I don't know how anyone sleeps when it's hot. 4. Do you run a fan or anything else for white noise? If you saw my thread a few months ago about the trouble I have sleeping alone, you know I need white noise lol. I have a small fan I run on low just to keep it from being dead silent. 5. What do significant others find frustrating about your sleep habits? I don't like to snuggle (sorry babe) and apparently I kick...
