Favre4Ever+ 4,476 Posted April 10, 2011 With the 171st Selection in the 2011 NFL Draft, the Arizona Cardinals select... GREG SALAS, WIDE RECEIVER, HAWAII The value is too good to pass up here, in my opinion. Will never pose a down field presence or become a "deep threat"... But has great size and good hands. Will definitely be a big target, possession kind of WR who will AT WORST, become a slot guy who will roam the middle of the field and consistently move the chains. Yet another great weapon for this Cardinals offense.

SteVo+ 3,702 Posted April 10, 2011 (edited) The following picks have both been confirmed by their respective GMs. With pick #173, the Seattle Seahawks select Pierre Allen, DE, Nebraska. With pick #174, the San Francisco 49ers select Jerrard Tarrant, FS, Georgia Tech. The Tennessee Titans (AirMcNair) are now on the clock. .AirMcNair. 1,232 Posted April 10, 2011 (edited) Schuylar Oordt, TE, Northern Iowa In case Jared Cook fails to pan out, and with Bo Scaife leaving, the Titans will need another receiving option at TE to compliment Craig Stevens, and although raw, Oordt could wind up being a steal, given his excellent combination of size and speed. Definitely a good backup plan at TE. Edited April 10, 2011 by .AirMcNair.

FartWaffles 1,857 Posted April 11, 2011 With the 178th pick in the 2011 NFL Draft, the Houston Texans select... Aldrick Robinson: Wide Receiver, SMU With the huge run on wide receivers we've had in the sixth round, I am shocked and very relieved that Robinson was still available. The Houston Texans do not have many weaknesses on the offensive side that needs to be addressed, but a slot receiver with explosive ability and good hands is something they need. Robinson is basically a Davone Bess clone that was also coached by June Jones. He is going to be a slot machine beast that can relieve Andre Johnson and Kevin Walter by fighting for those tough yards over the middle. 2010 stats: 65 receptions for 1,301 yards and 14 touchdowns. The Miami Dolphins (Bangy) are now on the clock.

seanbrock 1,684 Posted April 11, 2011 The Rams select Taiwan Jones He's drawn comparisons to Jamaal Charles and Chris Johnson. Sitting behind Jackson and learning how to block, and how to be a receiver will do wonders to round out his game.
SteVo+ 3,702 Posted April 11, 2011 The Oakland Raiders select Charles Clay, fullback, Tulsa. I didn't go into this draft with the intent of grabbing a fullback for Oakland, but Clay is too good of value to pass up at this point. He's a versatile guy who can catch out of the backfield and get some carries. He also has the willingness to block and play special teams.
Vin+ 3,121 Posted April 11, 2011 (edited) With the 182nd pick in the 2011 NFL Draft, the Jacksonville Jaguars select... Josh Portis, QB, California (PA) ___________________________________________________________ Probably a massive reach at this point, but he's got good size 6'4" 210, ran a 4.6 at the combine, and actually has an arm, unlike every other QB left. And really, that's what it boils down to. Obviously a 6th rounder likely isn't going to develop into much, but at least Portis has the tools to possibly become something. Besides, he's Clinton Portis' cousin. Can't go wrong there. The Cincinnati Bengals (Sean) are on the clock Edited April 11, 2011 by Vindifference

Favre4Ever+ 4,476 Posted April 11, 2011 With the 186th Selection in the 2011 NFL Draft, the Arizona Cardinals Select... VINCENT BROWN, WR, SAN DIEGO STATE A good athlete with average size for the position and nice quickness and burst. Won't start on the outside right away, but with a few years in a good system, he definitely has the potential. Good value too, in my opinion.

Favre4Ever+ 4,476 Posted April 12, 2011 With the 189th Selection in the 2011 NFL Draft, the Kansas City Chiefs Select... GREG McELROY, QUARTERBACK, ALABAMA Not a big, physical type of QB... McElroy is great at taking in all the information defenses give him, and reacting quickly and positively. Throws an extremely accurate ball. He may never be a Peyton Manning type of QB, but I see him being a Matt Hasselbeck kind of starter, and maybe better depending on the team and cast he has around him. At worst, will become one of the better backups in the league who you can continuously rely on. Love the value in the mid-late 6th.
