Barracuda 629 Posted May 1, 2011 (edited) Voted by current NFL players: I'll just post the list here and everyone can feel free to discuss. Will update with the later episodes. These players represent 6% of the league or 3 players per team. We probably won't have much debate until we get near the end or top half of this list. However, we can make arguments for players even being on the list(McNabb) or whatever. 100. Donovan McNabb 99. Chad Clifton 98. Darren McFadden 97. Shaun Phillips 96. Nick Collins 95. Jon Beason 94. FSUViking 184 Posted May 1, 2011 I found it quite amusing that Owens makes the list, and how ironic he's spoken of/presented by Brandon Marshall, and yet....they never showed a single play from him as a Buffalo Bill. It was all him being a jackass with San Fran, Philly, and Dallas. If he was one of the best 100 players of the 2011 season, surely he made at least one play as a member of the Bills, right? Turry 755 Posted May 1, 2011 Collins, Briggs and Gore need to be lower T.O needs to get off the list.
Packers Dynasty 2010 116 Posted May 1, 2011 (edited) They released multiple other player's spots on NFL.com already. I know I saw the spot on Fitz talking about Rodgers just yesterday on NFL.com. Edited May 1, 2011 by Packers Dynasty 2010
FSUViking 184 Posted May 1, 2011 No mention of the Bengals? Yeah, them too. I totally forgot he was on the Bengals last year and, apparently, so did NFL Network as they couldn't even dig up a highlight of him for the last two years. They released multiple other player's spots on NFL.com already. I know I saw the spot on Fitz talking about Rodgers just yesterday on NFL.com. Are you sure? That kinda kills the whole "10 week show" premise then.
RazorStar 4,025 Posted May 1, 2011 Not to mention, their is only one redskin and one Bengal on this list. What a joke, London Fletcher gets no love.
HadenIsland23 42 Posted May 1, 2011 How is Berry on the list after one year?
Shotgun 442 Posted May 2, 2011 What the hell is McNabb doing on this list? He was horrible last year and even if you take into account his career, which the players clearly have, he's only been a good QB, not a great one with the exception of 2004. The only other seasons he's ever gotten a QB rating of 90 or higher were ones he didn't play all 16 games in. I also don't get the Owens hate on here. The guy had 72 rec, 982 yards, and 9 TD's in 13 games. His stats with the Bills was just a product of being on such a shitty team. Clearly the players still know he can ball. Barracuda 629 Posted May 2, 2011 (edited) I don't get the TO hate either. Don't get me wrong, I'm not a fan of him at all but you can't deny facts. He has several records held with Jerry Rice, who we all know is one of the greatest players to ever step on the field. I'm not calling Terrell Owens Jerry Rice because he's far from it. But he has been a dominant receiver all throughout his career maybe with an exception of the past two years. I also don't think McNabb should be on the list for reasons said earlier in the thread. BwareDWare94 723 Posted May 2, 2011 TO had a good year with the Bengals, did he not?
AllYouNeedIsLovie 377 Posted May 2, 2011 I'll have to see more of the list before I can start criticizing.
Bay 2,003 Posted May 2, 2011 TO had a damn fine year with a regressing Carson Palmer and running game.
DonovanMcnabb for H.O.F 2,241 Posted May 2, 2011 Interested to see where the players themselves rank all the other LBs if Lance Briggs and Jon Beason are that far down.... Not necessarily that I disagree, but it should be interesting.
RazorStar 4,025 Posted May 2, 2011 Tied for 19th most in catches 18th in yards tied for 14th in TD's Is the 18th best wide receiver or so really one of the top 100 players in the league? Once again, this is a cumulative thing, and TO banks on his two or three good games a year to justify him as a decent player. 10 catches for 222 yards and a TD in a loss, 7 catches for 102 yards and a TD in a loss, and 10 catches for 141 yards and 2 TDs in a loss. It makes her per games averages look good, 5 Catches, 70 yards, 64% chance of getting a touchdown in a game, but without those, his per game averages look more like 4 catches a game, 47 yards a game, and a 45% chance of getting a touchdown in a game. I don't think he's dominant enough to be considered a top 100 player.
Shotgun 442 Posted May 2, 2011 Again, he played in 13 games so his stats aren't going to be as high as those that have. A lot of top WR's have a number of poorish games with big games that pad there stats. And yes, he was the 18th best WR last year over 13 games. There are also 18 WR's on the top-100 list. Packers Dynasty 2010 116 Posted May 2, 2011 (edited) Are you sure? That kinda kills the whole "10 week show" premise then. At NFL.com in their video section and having it organized by teams, I can see who on the Packers roster is in the top 100. Watching the videos again I do not see their actual ranking. Just people have been commenting in their forum chat on Rodgers' placing so I do not know how they figured that out. FSUViking 184 Posted May 2, 2011 How is Berry on the list after one year? Because that's kinda the whole effing point of the show...?
FIDDYDEUCE 81 Posted May 2, 2011 How is Berry on the list after one year? It's the Top 100 Players of 2011... Damn... Lance Briggs and Jon Beason THAT low? I understand 100 is only a fraction of all the players but those are two of the best LB's in the game and only #95 & #92?? I'd figure at least somewhere in the middle. I bet Kyle Williams isn't on the list at all
AllYouNeedIsLovie 377 Posted May 9, 2011 Just updated the list. 90-81 were just announced. Cool to see 2 Bucs on it. Freeman should definately be over Williams though. Also, don't think Adrian Wilson should be on the list. He didn't have a good season last year.
Barracuda 629 Posted May 9, 2011 (edited) Players 90-81 are now up. Er..I guess me and Goodell were doing it at the same time. Edited May 9, 2011 by Barracuda
Packers Dynasty 2010 116 Posted May 9, 2011 Not too sure of Williams being on this list quite yet. There are multiple players better than him that are in the 90s of this list.
videofreak8 5 Posted May 9, 2011 If its the best of 2011, then why is Mcnabb up there???
Bay 2,003 Posted May 9, 2011 If its the best of 2011, then why is Mcnabb up there??? The players felt bad for him.
badgers 380 Posted May 9, 2011 I think I'd switch Nick Collins and BJ Raji tbh.
