Favre4Ever+ 4,476 Posted October 3, 2011 Aaron Rodgers through 4 games: 103 / 141 (73%), 1325 Yards, 9.4 YPA, 12 TD, 2 INT, 124.6 Rating 53 Rushing Yards, 2 TD 4 - 0 Record. Extrapolated through a full 16. 412 / 564 (73%), 5300 Yards, 9.4 YPA, 48 TD, 8 INT, 124.6 Rating 212 Rushing Yards, 8 TD 16 - 0 Record. Now... granted. It is going to be EXTREMELY difficult to keep that pace. Hell, it's pretty unlikely. But it's fun to talk about... And we could be witnessing one best seasons by any QB of all time. Shotgun 442 Posted October 3, 2011 Best seasons? Maybe statistically, but that has more to do with rule changes than anything. Still, he's playing great.

How else do you grade QBs on a seasons worth of games? Throwing power, accuracy, victories, clutch moments? All things Aaron is at an elite level at. You could be looking at history. Shotgun 442 Posted October 3, 2011 All I'm saying is, with all the rule changes that have been put into the game over the years, a season like this is no longer all that impressive to me. That's just my opinion though. It's difficult for me to say Rodgers is starting to have one of the best seasons ever, even if he continues the trend, when he doesn't have to deal with half the crap previous QB's have. Even if someone does beat Dan Marino's single season yards record, it's really not nearly as impressive. The same goes for Manning and Brady breaking his TD record. I wouldn't honestly be surprised if within the next 10 years a 5,000 yard season ends up being the same thing a 4,000 yard season was a few years ago. But 5300 yards? 48 TDs? 124 QB Rating for an ENTIRE SEASON?!?! How is that not impressive to you? Again.. not saying he will hit those numbers, nor is it likely. funnygunny 521 Posted October 3, 2011 off topic but OI FFE, remember when green bay made all those cuts at the end of the pre-season and you were like WTF? and now they're like 4-0. haha
Favre4Ever+ 4,476 Posted October 11, 2011 After Game 5 129 / 180 (71.7%), 1721 Yards, 9.6 YPA, 14 TD, 2 INT, 122.9 Rating
RazorStar 4,025 Posted October 11, 2011 Rodgers is leading in all efficiency stats, (Technically Brady has a minuscule edge on YPA, but whatever). Other than Calvin Johnson shattering the TD record for receivers, Rodgers definitely seems to have the handle on the award.
Favre4Ever+ 4,476 Posted October 24, 2011 Rodgers after 7 games and right before the Packers BYE 171 / 239 (71.5%), 2372 Yards, 9.9 YPA, 20 TD, 3 INT, 125.7 Rating Brees has about 100 yards on Aaron for tops in the league. Aaron has about 3% points on Brees in accuracy for tops in the league. ATL_Predator+ 1,196 Posted November 7, 2011 I think Peyton Manning is making more of a statement for MVP by not playing than Aaron Rodgers is while playing.
Favre4Ever+ 4,476 Posted November 7, 2011 You are looking at, arguably, one of the best seasons by a QB of all time if Aaron can keep this up. Are we witnessing history?
Guest Phailadelphia Posted November 7, 2011 Fans of the team aren't allowed to say stuff like that. Just sayin' That being said, there is no 2011 MVP race. Rodgers already won it.

badgers 380 Posted November 7, 2011 If he achieves those numbers (it's a BIG if), he will have broken these records: Passer rating - Previously Peyton Manning (121.1, 2004) Pass Yds - Previously Dan Marino (5084, 1984) Comp % - Previously Drew Brees (70.6%, 2009) He'll tie this record: TD-INT Ratio - Current Holder Tom Brady (50-8, 2007) He'll fall short of this record: Pass TD - Record Holder Tom Brady (50, 2007) That's an MVP season, easily. badgers 380 Posted December 5, 2011 He needs to play better at the end of the season. His passer rating and his comp % are falling below the records :nono: Still an easy MVP. Lol.
Packers Dynasty 2010 116 Posted December 19, 2011 (edited) With him becoming human the past few weeks and receivers dropping balls constantly, he doesn't have over a 70% completion rate nor a 121 QB rating anymore. Hopefully he can light up the Bears or Lions some. Edited December 22, 2011 by Packers Dynasty 2010
badgers 380 Posted December 26, 2011 Got 5 TD on the Bears. He needs 5 against Detroit to tie Brady's mark and 6 to beat it. He probably could have gotten another 1 tonight but we sat him out.

He won't do it. McCarthy all but said he'd sit him for much of the game if the Pack won, and they did. The only person who can possibly take it from him is Brees. NaTaS+ 958 Posted December 26, 2011 Peyton Manning Drew Brees Aaron Rodgers
Favre4Ever+ 4,476 Posted December 26, 2011 (edited) Ya.. Brees has the record for passing yards in the bag... If someone is going to get it over Aaron, it will be Brees. 343 / 502 (68.3%), 4643 Yards, 45 TDs, 6 INT, 9.2 YPA, 122.5 Rating 60 carries, 257 yards, 3 TD Edited December 26, 2011 by Favre4Ever
KeVo 176 Posted December 26, 2011 I think that even with the last couple of weeks, he should still get the MVP. He did great most of the season, and that's what matters.
badgers 380 Posted January 4, 2012 Does he have it in the books? Or has Brees made enough of a case to possibly take the trophy himself? It'll be closer than we all think I'm sure.
