What gifts are you giving this year?

Recommended Posts

It's that time of the season, so I thought I'd make the annual thread since I am half a present away from finally being finished shopping. Here's what I bought so far.

Brother: 120 GB Black Zune (they no longer make Zunes, so shit was expensive)

Dad: Kiss pint glass set, _____ (NO idea what else to get the man)

Grandma: Angel figurine, nativity candle holder, nativity corn straw card, cross ornament

Grandpa: Ndamukong Suh autographed Nebraska mini-helmet

Aunt and Uncle: $75 Applebees gift card

(Cousins)

Amber: Avenged Sevenfold, Cage the Elephant, and Paramore CDs

Nathan: Magic the Gathering starter deck and two booster packs

Adam: Four TechDeck mini-skateboard sets

Girlfriend: Built her a computer, gift card to Maurices, and a book

(Girlfriend's family)

Mom: Hand-made scarf

Dad: Framed set of 4 Duke national championship SI covers

Brother: Framed set of 4 N.C. Tar Heels national championship SI covers

Sister In-Law: Maurices gift card

Neice: Jenga set, sticky frog set

Baby nephew set to be born in March: Tar Heels bib and bootie sock things

You mean like you customized it from a website right?

Though I do know some people who salvage parts from used computers and build custom computers by hand. If I did that it'd probably blow up though...

Well,

Dad: a family photo shoot with framed prints, gorilla pod lantern, pistol air soft gun (all he does is talk about how he wants a new pistol so I'm screwing with him.... My fam actually got him a real one but we'll make him sweat.

Stepmom: custom book cover for kindle fire, framed print

Sister: framed print, trekking pole with fold out legs to make it a tripod

Real mom: framed and matted print of her, my sister, and I we took a few weeks ago.

Girlfriend: custom book cover for iPad, purple montana state under armor fleece, big wooden sign

I don't have a lot of money this Christmas so I couldn't do too much, thats why a lot of people are getting framed prints that I took. Each one is worth like $75, but only costs me like $30 to make.

I mean we did have Channukah, but we just kinda stopped as the years went on. I don't have a lot of money that wasn't originally my parents so buying them gifts would be kinda dumb. I sometimes get a small gift from them, but sometimes they say paying for college all the gift I get (which im certainly not complaining about).

Nice job on the tickets, though I'm sorry you'll have to be subject to such vile music for a few hours.

Nah, I ordered the parts and the operating system and put it all together and then installed staple programs for her. I'm not a computer expert or anything, but I know how to build them and what parts are good and whatnot.

Sounds like a nice batch of presents. I for one definitely like the thoughtful or practical presents like the framed pictures over anything else. Thing is, I can't really make anything artistic like that unless I go gay and write everyone a poem, lol.

ZOS is quite the Santa Clause. :yep:

Last year and this year have been the first two years where I've had the money to really buy my family presents. I always felt bad that I never had the means to get people anything growing up, so I kinda' went crazy since I can afford it now.

Electric Razor for my Stepdad

Skyrim for my Sister

20 bucks for my brother

I'm trying to find a good book for my mom, but it's been difficult. I'm going last last minute shopping for something.

I don't get my dad gifts because they always end up terrible, and he even told me, just worry about getting me something for my birthday.

So yeah, small list.

I used to have the Mega Darth Vader Castle lego fortress. That thing was sick as hell man.

Also for the brother getting a T-shirt just get him a gift card to Best Buy or Radio Shack or some other local electronics store. I'm guessing he's probably mid teens or something?
