AllYouNeedIsLovie 377 Posted March 21, 2012 ESPN.com is reporting Tebow + 7th rounder to the Jets, 4th+6th rounder to the Broncos Seriously? Wow, an even worse trade for the Jets then.
oochymp 2,393 Posted March 21, 2012 http://espn.go.com/new-york/nfl/story/_/id/7718133/new-york-jets-acquire-tim-tebow-4th-round-pick-source-says that article includes this nice gem: Coach Rex Ryan also wants the Jets to get back to being a power-running team, but they have only one proven back, Shonn Greene. The 6-foot-3, 238-pound Tebow rushed for 660 yards last season, including a 20-yard touchdown in the final minute to beat the Jets, 17-14, in a November game at Denver. is it just me or does that make it sound like a legitimate possibility that Tebow is used primarily as a runner? AllYouNeedIsLovie 377 Posted March 21, 2012 is it just me or does that make it sound like a legitimate possibility that Tebow is used primarily as a runner? It would make sense. I mean they just did signed Sanchez to a huge extension.
BucD+ 648 Posted March 21, 2012 (edited) Yo Sanchize, Imma let you finish, but Tebowz has Jesus on his side and is the greatest of all time!! Edited March 21, 2012 by BucD
Zack_of_Steel+ 3,014 Posted March 21, 2012 LOL. So fucking dumb. Apparently Tebow is worth about as much as Demeco Ryans.
baltimoreravens 19 Posted March 21, 2012 There's a hangup in the contract apparently, one that Jacksonville was not willing to agree to: @AdamSchefter Jets still alive and working to complete this trade. But there are contractual complications. 7m @AdamSchefter The same money issues in Tim Tebow's contract caused complications for Jacksonville trying to complete trade. Now Jets facing them. 13m @AdamSchefter Tim Tebow has $5 million worth of recapture language, meaning Jets would have to pay back money to Denver. Jets might be unwilling. Complex. 19m @AdamSchefter (2) If the Tebow trade to Jets falls apart, St. Louis could wind up getting back into play. Sides sorting through details. 20m @AdamSchefter Filed to ESPN (1): Denver and Jets have encountered hangup in language in Tim Tebow's contract that could nullify trade. FIDDYDEUCE 81 Posted March 21, 2012 Incredible... what a joke of an organization! That being said... Tim should make a decent RB
housemd 338 Posted March 21, 2012 First they're overpaying Mark Sanchez, now they're signing Tim Tebow....What the hell are they doing?
Milla4Prez63 678 Posted March 21, 2012 Jets look pretty silly for agreeing to this trade without knowing the details of his contract like that.
PackIsBack 124 Posted March 21, 2012 Jets look pretty silly for agreeing to this trade without knowing the details of his contract like that. And the move doesn't make any sense anyway. Throwing Tebow into the mix when there's already been trouble with Sanchez makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. It's only going to get worse if the trade actually goes through. RazorStar 4,025 Posted March 21, 2012 So it's not official yet, but he's gone. I think St. Louis should get him. Fusher developed Steve McNair into a all-pro QB, he can do the same for Tebow. Not like Bradford is any good.

.AirMcNair. 1,232 Posted March 21, 2012 (edited) So it's not official yet, but he's gone. I think St. Louis should get him. Fusher developed Steve McNair into a all-pro QB, he can do the same for Tebow. Not like Bradford is any good. The difference is, while McNair did require a good bit of work, McNair's mechanics weren't even close to as bad as Tebow's are now. McNair could have come up a lot sooner had we not had Eddie George. But since we did, we just decided to let McNair come in to his own on his own pace. Had Fisher/the offensive coaching staff pushed him, he would have become that all-pro QB he eventually turned out to be much sooner. Another reason he probably didn't rush McNair was because it probably would have been ugly for a season or 2, and Fisher may not have been able to last that long, therefore he just decided to lean on George the whole way. videofreak8 5 Posted March 22, 2012 And that sound you just heard was the Jets 2012 season crashing hard. Because they traded for a back up QB. Lol, ok.
BigBen07 285 Posted March 22, 2012 Because they traded for a back up QB. Lol, ok. A backup QB who's an attention seeker and is now on a team that's already dysfunctional. It's not hard to do the math on that.
