The reason we keep him is because we have nobody else and he knows the protection calls. I'm sorry, but there are some players that, no matter how good, will always/at a certain point be looked down upon by their fans. Example: Steelers fans say Lawrence Timmons is a terrible bust and half of them think Woodley and Mike Wallace suck. Birk is much better than Pouncey, who gets pushed around more often than anyone in the media will admit, simply because of his lofty draft status and pre-draft ranking. I think it goes both ways he WAS dominant for years and the last couple has been getting beat like he stole something. Last years AFCCG against NE was one of the worst performances by a center I have ever seen. I would rather go with a young quick guy.
