Sarge+ 3,436 Posted August 30, 2011 If you had to give out the title "King of Comedy," who would you give it to? I would name Matt Stone and Trey Parker co-Kings. You?

Sarge+ 3,436 Posted August 30, 2011 Yea, I suppose it's not really fair to compare comedy writers to actual comedy performers. I'd have to go with Louis C.K. if we're talking actual comedians.
Krawnka 282 Posted August 30, 2011 Denis Leary, Steven Wright, Mitch Hedberg I've been told I've got a "dry" sense of humor.

NaTaS+ 958 Posted August 31, 2011 Carlin, CK, Mitch, ADC, Rock, Kevin Hart, Chapelle. But the original question, I really like seth macfarlane - that guy knows the recipe for a good comedy cartoon.

SteVo+ 3,702 Posted August 31, 2011 Not saying he'd be my pick, but no love for Richard Pryor?
Shotgun 442 Posted August 31, 2011 If we're counting the dead, the person who's made me laugh more than anyone was Richard Pryor. So he'd be my pick. If not, probably a tie between Dave Chappelle and Steven Wright.
Milla4Prez63 678 Posted August 31, 2011 I would agree with Stone and Parker. South Park is pure genius. I also love Andy Samburg, guy is effing funny. If we are going stand up, it is kinda tough. I don't watch that much stand up these days. I love Daniel Tosh though, but I don't think he belongs at #1. George Carlin would probably be my favorite dead comedian. There is one guy I see on Comedy Central a lot and he is just awesome, don't know his name though. I know he's got a southern accent and is a little chubby (no, not LTCG). Aziz Ansari's standup special made me lawl too. Dane Cook, Seth McFarlane and Carlos Mencia would probably make my overrated list in the comedy bizz. But then again, almost everyone has seen through Mencia's act and not many like him anymore so I'm not sure he'd qualify as overrated.
Turry 755 Posted September 1, 2011 No love for Russel Peters ?
Sarge+ 3,436 Posted September 1, 2011 Seth McFarlane FTW. Though American Dad is a lot funnier to me than Family Guy these days.

seanbrock 1,684 Posted September 27, 2011 idk, I'd say Hicks or Hedberg, glad nobody said Jeff Dunham though. He's fucking annoying. Nick Swardson is also fucking hilarious as a stand up.
