KiLaSix9+ 398 Posted April 26, 2012 Three scenarios I'd be happy with tonight: 1) Bucs take Claiborne #5 overall. 2) Bucs trade up with Minnesota and take Richardson #3 overall. 3) Bucs trade down with Buffalo and take Kuechly #10 overall. I hadn't thought about it too much until recently but getting a guy like Kuechly along with more picks could end up being one of the best moves in the draft. My number one option is to try and trade down with Buffalo because they want to trade up for Kalil and I'm hearing the Vikings want Claiborne. We get the best LB in the draft and more draft picks. It's a win-win situation.

Would it really matter if we gave up a 3rd and 4th if this guy ends up being THAT good? Again, it's not my dream scenario, I'd just be happy if it happened. BLUE 1,026 Posted April 26, 2012 (edited) Per Rotoworld.com: Adam Schefter reported on ESPN's SportsCenter draft special Thursday that the Jaguars have "made some calls to move up" with under five hours left before the first round. The Jaguars were known to be infatuated with Trent Richardson as early as the Senior Bowl in January, although those rumors have been nonexistent of late. The player whom Jacksonville might be targeting is unclear, if it's not the Alabama back. It might also be Justin Blackmon or Mo Claiborne. Per Schefter, there are six teams that have shown interest in trading up in the draft. They are the Jags, Eagles, Patriots, Chargers, Packers, and Bills. If he did end up being elite, that would be great, but what is a running back good for when your defense is giving up points every possession?
Milla4Prez63 678 Posted April 26, 2012 If he did end up being elite, that would be great, but what is a running back good for when your defense is giving up points every possession? What 3rd rounder is going to help our defense not give up points every possession? People overvalue mid-round picks, most of those guys end up being nobodies. housemd 338 Posted April 26, 2012 Apart from Dont'a Hightower, who is our standard mock draft pick,I'd like to see us pick Dontari Poe or Cordy Glenn.. Poe was a top 10 pick once, his stock has fallen a little bit,and he could easily be there for our pick.. The most recent mock drafts show no love for Cordy Glenn..He's now predicted to be picked around 25th pick and if he's available,I say we should grab him..I'd love to see him in black and gold.. AllYouNeedIsLovie 377 Posted April 26, 2012 What 3rd rounder is going to help our defense not give up points every possession? People overvalue mid-round picks, most of those guys end up being nobodies. There is a decent chance that an early 3rd round pick turns out to be a good player... Plus, if we don't trade up and trade down instead, we would probably get an extra 2nd and 3rd so we could add 3-4 solid defensive players and still get a guy like Doug Martin or David Wilson. Just makes no sense to me to trade up and only get Richardson when we can do trade down and get a bunch of solid players.
SteVo+ 3,702 Posted April 26, 2012 Hopes for the Eagles: 1) Trade up for Luke Kuechly. 2) Trade up for Fletcher Cox. (Gotta get your hands on Cox.) 3) Trade up for Justin Blackmon or Michael Floyd. 4) Stay put at #15 and take Michael Brockers.
AllYouNeedIsLovie 377 Posted April 26, 2012 Hopes for the Bucs: 1. Trade down and get Kuechly or Barron plus extra draft picks 2. Take Claiborne at #5 3. Take Richardson at #5 I'll be fine with: 1. Take Kuechly at #5 2. Take Kalil at #5 I'll be pissed as fuck: 1. Trade up for anyone 2. Take anyone but Kuechly, Kalil, Richardson or Claiborne at #5. Bay 2,003 Posted April 26, 2012 - Do not want a TE in the first. - Don't really want a WR in the first either. - Going Offensive Line would not bother me at all.
FartWaffles 1,857 Posted April 26, 2012 If the Texans stay at #26, I'm guessing... If they go receiver: Stephen Hill If they go rush linebacker: Shea McClellin If they go offensive line: I'll spontaneously combust

Especially Bucs' 3rd round picks, we haven't gotten a worthwhile player in the 3rd since Ronde lol. If you are solid on Richardson being a big time player, you shouldn't worry about a 3rd round pick. It isn't a big deal. I'm tired of this team relying on 3rd and 4th round players having to step in right away and play big roles. We need some big time difference makers, and if Dom/Schiano are sold that is TR, GET HIM.
NYGIANTSFLYHIGH 1 Posted April 26, 2012 (edited) Hopes for Giants: 1. Kuechly falls to Giants 2. Kuechly falls passed the Panthers/Chiefs/Seahawks/Cowboys/Eagles and we use Osi to trade with Jets who need a Pass Rush 3. Hightower falls to Giants 4. Hightower falls passed Pitt and we dont risk he makes it to us and we move up 5. The phone systems go down after the Dolphins pick. It takes them 3 hours and 50 minutes to fix them so the Giants can skip everyone since they would be on the clock, and select Kuechly or Hightower Edited April 26, 2012 by NYGIANTSFLYHIGH

DonovanMcnabb for H.O.F 2,241 Posted April 26, 2012 Not surprisingly, the Lions are looking to trade up in the early 10s or trade back for more picks. Probably for Barron or Gilmore. DO IT!!!! I am getting too excited. >_>

Thanatos 2,847 Posted April 26, 2012 I'm really not nervous at all, just excited to see who we get. Rivera will pick the right guy, and he's looked into this a lot more than I have, that's for sure.
